"This is your typical small town Chicken Chef. Nothing special, but not bad either. Iceberg lettuce salad--check, reasonably tasty fried-chicken--check. The nice thing is that they asked me whether I preferred white or dark meat with my 4-piece chicken meal and didn't charge me more...for white meat. The downside is that the chicken had obviously been sitting in a warmer (the fries were fresh though)."

"Walked in one evening and they were serving a group of about 35 - 40 people and they still had my takeout ready in 15 min from the time I ordered. Awesome Great Mennonite and Mexican food. Great noodle soup...."

"The most romantic place in Winkler, by far. Rooms are well kept, clean, and modern. Free wifi and a cool lounge and restaurant in the same building (far enough that noise is not an issue), Staff is accommodating."

"Went for lunch with a dear friend today! Decided to try GingerWood Lane. We each had soup, which was homeade and a sandwich, made on their fresh homeade bread!!! It was a great experience, the food was superb and the atmosphere was inviting! They also have a little gift store that you can find fun unique items!!! One of Winkaler's best kept secrets! It's been there 25 years! After you experience it...you'll know why it's been there that long!!!"

"Classic family restaurant/coffee shop. The food is really good especially the pizza, but expensive compared to other pizza places in town. Not sure if they still charge for fountain drink re-fills but that should change! Salad bar seems alright. They should come up with pizza deals or something!"
