"We've been going for many years and look forward to many more. No sooner did we turn up the side street they are on did Ruffino hop out of his chair to wave at us. On this Friday evening Gustavo is always there as well. We do like to plan when they will both be working as we enjoy their conversation so much. The spicey vegetables they provide and the Mexican pizza. Which is chorizo and cheese on tortillas is delicious as usual. We order drinks and this appetizer we did not even order came when we received our drinks. We are definitely too predictable here and we order our usual go too meals. My wife loves the Tortuga salad and I the combination. Arracharra, chili relenos, tacos, guacamole, frijoles, and a tostado filled with pork beans and cheese. Always good why mess around. Ice cream for dessert was very good with Kailua not the signature coconut but a very good mix vanilla and another but not certain what flavor as it looked but didn't taste like strawberry. Another good meal."

"My wife and I had dinner here after a day in Livorno. Small, informal place with a patio on the sidewalk. We each had the daily special, a veggie board that featured grilled eggplant, zucchini, roasted peppers, sun dried tomatoes, and some lovely vegan feta....The fresh juice was excellent. So glad to find a %100 vegan cafe in Tuscany."

"During our trip through Mexico we were staying in Acapulco for four nights. We had a room in the Boca Chica Hotel, which is just next door from this place.We didn't stay close to the "action" on purpose, we wanted to stay in a more (touristy) remote area, that's why we chose the Boca Chica on Caletilla.Caletilla Beach, where this restaurant - actually a Palapa - is located, is a small and very local beach. Families hang out and eat here together. I was the only white guy around (on all four days). And it actually felt very nice to sit between the locals and to enjoy the nice, laid-back atmosphere here on the beach.There's lots of restaurants here and all looke pretty similar. We just chose a place where lots of locals were eating.And it was a brillant choice in the end. This place serves a good range of different seafood and fish. The restaurants here get their fish from the local fishermen - bought on the same day as served.We came here every day...it was just so good and the mood and atmosphere here so great. We had lots of different kinds of fish. Filet or whole. Very good is the "Diabla", which is very spicy. Also very good is the fish "sol"...it's like a fish filet fried in an omelette. Unusual, but great! The whole fried fish (Snapper) was perfectly cooked. Crispy outside, juicy and tender inside. Everything we had was wonderful, except the Pulpo and the Ceviche were a bit average....but still a lot better than in many restaurants. The only thing that can get a bit annoying are the vendors here on the beach....there's at least one every 30 seconds. A friendly "No, gracias" mostly does it...but all the time...well...We had the same waiter every day. A great guy named Diego. He always (from the first day) got us a good table...even brought one from the back when there was none available. On the second, third and fourth visit he even bought us a beer (actually four on the last day) ... he always had one too and drank with us. A great guy. We didn't really speak spanish much and he didn't really talk english, but somehow we understood each other and had some good conversations.Experiences like this is what makes a vacation very special. And this place and Diego really made Acapulco unforgettable for us. If you are around this area, you really need to get to El Mariachi and grab some food....or at least a beer. Of course, if you look for a party...music...and all that stuff, then this isn't for you. But if you wanna hang out with the locals and see that side of Acapulco/Mexico...then this is it!Wanna know more about my trips? "We went with a group of and arrived about PM keep in mind during the week anyway they are closed by I ordered the shrimp cocktail the shrimp were very fresh and good the tomato like sauce need a bit of work....My entree was the Arrechera which was delicious and perfectly tender as well comes with rice and small salad. My wife tried the bacon wrapped shrimp which was out of this world good large shrimp to an order I would recommend either entree. Located on the beach remember it does close early I would arrive by latest."

"This restaurant had very friendly staff who also spoke English and the menu offered nice, simple, tasty seafood dishes. Being able to eat on the beach was a cool setting however it also leaves you prone to vendors harking their wares to you every 60 seconds, so that may be worth keeping in mind when deciding where to sit. Being on the main beach strip, the meals were also priced for tourists so expect to pay a little more than at some of the other smaller local restaurants scattered along that road. Having said that, I would probably come back here with friends."

"My Acapulquena friend took me to this charming restaurant on my last morning in her city. We had a wonderful breakfast there, seated on the outdoor patio that (sort of) looks out on the ocean. The decor is charming and the food is wonderful. We had chalupas, quesdillas and gorditas, guyanaba drinks and the cafe a la olla -- a sugary spicy blend and left very full. Excellent service. It was a great experience."
