"Don't give this restaurant, they're clearly racist. I'll never go in there again. We were denied seats on a Tuesday evening on the day after the working day it was not busy, not wait, my son (13 years old) I asked to sit separate from my sister family as they won?t place for a party greater than 6 people. No problem we didn't get together, we don't pay together or go together. I told the host and manager that we are not asked for accommodation? We didn't want to sit together or even at the same time. Just to eat at the restaurant and we were denied. I'm NIE would ask a facility so I can spend my money. So I went with my son and my sister with her family because it was her birthday. I honestly believe that this restaurant discriminates. You literally told me because we know each other, we can't stay. I?m shocked in September 2022 a restaurant would turn people off if it wasn't busy, but racism is real and she lost on money? what doesn't make a good sense of business."

"Wow! This place has such a long wait because it’s first come first serve, but it was okay because my boyfriend and I just walked around the area while we waited. We were sat at the bar and the hostesses were really nice about getting us a seat! We tried their small plates- the pork belly watermelon tacos were just as unique and tasty as the reviews say! We also tried the garlic truffle fries, veal short ribs, and the roasted Brussel sprouts. They were all cooked to perfection Brandon, the bartender, was very attentive and made me a mocktail that tasted amazing and refreshing. My boyfriend got another bourbon cocktail (the Stupid Hat or something like that) and he loved it. The ambience is very cozy and exclusive, and the place was dark, but it definitely added to the vibe. Would love to come again!"

"Only giving 1 star because I have sympathy for the restaurant being obviously understaffed. Our waitress kept forgetting to bring us drinks and didn't check on us nearly enough. My friend ordered a medium rare steak that came out well done, and the rest of our meals were ~kinda~ warm when they came out, maybe a little warmer than room temperature. The texture of the chicken was weird, but maybe that's just because the temperature was off. We called the manager over and told him about the temperature of the food and the overcooked steak. He asked if we wanted him to cook another steak and we told him we did not want to wait another 30 mins for a steak but wanted to let him know his kitchen was sending out incorrectly prepared food. All he offered us after that was an apology. When the waitress came back over, we informed her of the situation. She told us to hold on and she would go see what they could do about it. The manager came back over with a horrible attitude and said I'm just trying to figure out what you want me to do about it .................well for starters sir you can lose your attitude. He offered us a free dessert. Never once offered to comp or discount any of the food. It was clear the restaurant was understaffed since he was a manager but he was waiting tables. No excuse for poor customer service. The waitress told us the owner was in the building and we said we wanted to talk to him. She said she would go get him. She came back and said they could give us multiple free desserts........ apparently the owner did not want to deal with customers that were upset with his business. We got our checks and went to pay, there were 4 tabs. 2 cards were charged correctly, 1 card was never charged, and the other card was charged for 2 tabs, totaling almost $300. For a place that includes a 20% gratuity on their tab, they do not provide 20% gratuity worth of service. Not for a place that charges so much for food that doesn't even come out warm or correctly cooked. This was my first time going to this restaurant and it's safe to say I will never be returning. Complete waste of money and time. Everywhere in Charlotte is understaffed but that's no excuse for poor service. It takes more effort to have an attitude and deal with irate customers than it does to be understanding and provide half decent service."

"This was our first time at Ru san 's and we were so glad we decided to check it out as we found it last minute. The service, and food were great don 't let the "no frills appearance fool you, if anything, it gives off a low key, easy vibe feeling. We arrived about 8pm and the place was crowded, which is always a good sign. Although it was crowded, we were seated promptly and served quickly. A must visit if you 're in the Uptown Charlotte area."

"The food is great but expect to spend a couple of hours here, I’ve been multiple times for lunch and dinner and it takes forever for a server to come to your table, typically around 10 minutes or more every time, even if they’re not busy. And you better get everything you need the first time because they aren’t coming back."
