"We had a wonderful lunch here. There was an extensive choice of both vegan and non-vegan options, and there were many unique dishes that we were excited to try. Food was excellent, with the twice cooked pork (vegan) and dry tofu with peanuts being particular standouts. Service was prompt, polished, and helpful. Highly recommend this place!"

"Took my husband out for his birthday dinner. Table location was great. Server was great. Drinks were great. He loved his veal chop with noodles and mushroom gravy. My filet sea bass was good with spinach and potatoes. Desserts were normal nothing exciting to me so we didn’t order any. Overall We were very happy and would return again."

"Decided to try Abate Restaurant after trying the other 'must have New Haven pizza joints '. Pizza was good, however it is a thicker crust than the others (Sally 's, Frank Pepe 's, Modern) and honestly was more of a regular pizza joint (if you can call it that). Staff very friendly, would I return, maybe. However I do prefer Modern and Franks pizza more personally.."

"I and the family had an explosion here. the service was a service. it has not been felt so at home in a restaurant in quite ahile. it was all amazing what turned on eating. clam pizza was good, not great, but it fulfilled my expectations. also the mushroom pizza and meatball pizzas were delicious. in love with the mushroom cake. overall it was incredible!"
