"We wandered in Bravocados, five years after our first visit, and were thrilled by everything. The owners welcomed us and stressed the peculiarities of the day, although we decided for breakfast. My husband loved breakfast Burritos, and I went for one of several “bennies” – Benedict-style crispy English muffin, egg-style tofu, and Florentine supplements wild spinach, mushrooms and delicious sauce. Just a great meal! If it weren't on the west coast of Vancouver Island, we would be regular!"

"We stopped off at the tourist information shack some 8 kms out from Tofino and asked for advice on places for a fishy lunch. A number of options were given by the helpful staff and one was just 400m up the road at Pacific Sands Beach resort. A great recommendation! Casual dining on colourful chairs in front of the kitchen. We had salmon and chips and a salmon taco. Quick service. Both orders were brilliant and made for a delicious lunch in the sun."

"Tofino 's a slice of heaven, pretty much no matter where you go. But the Botanical Gardens has always been a regular stop on my regular trips from Vancouver to the end of the road. It 's the sweetest nook to read a book, learn about local flora, or get to the Inlet 's shore. I had heard recently that the Cafe had a new head chef and that they were re-introducing a full breakfast/lunch menu. I ordered the Havana (add: eggs) and it was spectacular! My friend ordered the salade Niçoise and it might have been even better (however possible). Beautifully presented. Fresh greens and edible flowers from the garden. The eggs from their humanly-raised chickens. And the most perfect steaks of tuna, which I assume (or, would like to assume) were locally and ethically sourced. I wish I had taken a picture of her salad, but it 's a device-free space so I was hyper conscious of my 'black mirroring. ' I am shocked to be reading in other reviews that people are upset by this... no Skype or phone calls, in particular... I mean, YOU. ARE. IN. A. PROTECTED RAINFOREST!!!! Take advantage of the natural noises and ambiance! The cherry table cloth was the cherry on top! Adorable!! Thank you, Charles :P"

"So we're heading back into town after a beautiful morning at Long Beach, right? And the kids are really hungry. And our phones haven't yet reconnected to the net so we can't surf for a good place for lunch. And so we stop. My wife goes in to check it out. Through hypnosis or pity or I don't know what she motions the rest of us inside. And a family legend is born. It is somewhat comforting to see that others have stepped into this same nightmare. We would have walked out, even after ordering, but we felt bad for the two guys. Now it's two hours later and nobody is sick yet but we're all still thoroughly grossed out. And someday we might forgive my wife."

"Food was good, and the restaurant has a great view, and is nicely decorated and built. Service was crappy, and the drinks sucked. The latte was nice though. Maybe stopping here for coffee and a snack is a better option than a meal, especially if you have places to go afterwards. We ordered the hot spinach dip (great! , the calamari (too many peppers and too few squid pieces , fish and chips (average and the seafood fettuccine (amazing, very generous portions of seafood! ."
