"When Anthony Boudain discovered pho in Vietnam, he described the experience as the “food porn”, which has lived on ever since in the foodie world. Indeed, a perfect bowl of Vietnamese pho does give you everything sexy about food, the aroma from fresh herbs and exotic spices, the clear but velvety broth made from brewing cattle bones for hours, the thinly sliced tender beef, and the soft but slightly chewy rice noodles. The pho here at Bánh Mì Très Bon is exactly all that, but with more – the piece of bone filled luscious bone marrow just brings it to the next level. Using grass-fed beef contributes a lot in the flavours of the meat and the soup. $12 might seems a little pricey for a bowl of pho, but for with quality like this, it is a tremendous bargain. Just a note on other dishes. I was not as impressed with their pork and spring roll on vermicelli at my 2nd visit, or maybe they have set the expectation a little high with their star pho. My mom, however, was wow'd by the pho. Next thing I want to try here is the Bánh Mì, and maybe a couple of those cute dominion macarons. So stay tuned!"

"This new restaurant (opens less than six months) is located in the food court of the center of Aberdeen. We arrived at 12:30 this Friday afternoon and as expected the food court was busy. After the usual walk to see the food options I decided to have pho. I ordered the following to share with my spouse: • Number 1 House Spezialpho. The beef protein included meatballs, trips and pane breeze $7.95 • Vegetarian spring rolls add meal for $1.50. The regular price for 1 spring roll is $2.50. You can also add on a lemon-based drink for $1 and Vietnamese coffee for $2.50. The accounts were $9.92. It took less than 10 minutes to get my order. The Pho came only in one size; probably comparable to a small middle dish in some other Pho restaurants. The broth was delicious and the amount of noodles and meat was good considering the size of the bowl. I asked the checkout if MSG was used in its food preparation and she said that very little was used. There was no noticeable “dry mouth syndrome” usually associated with the use of MSG as a flavor enhancer. The vegetarian spring roll with the fish sauce based diving sauce was okay, but nothing to rave over. Portion size 3 of 5 food flavor quality 3 of 5 Overall I would rate the total life with 3 of 5. If you are in a hurry, it is not a bad place for a quick meal. "I'v had Pho several times. But I keep coming back to Pho Saigon. The portion size is huge and tasty. I always order the seafood Pho. The service is professional and fast. And the price is $10 would highly recommend."

"It was ok food, nothing extraordinary, but pricy. The staff was ok too, not very fluent in English and didn't quite understand some of our requests. It was convenient location for our family to eat because we stayed in Raddison hotel."

"Jade is a great place for Cantonese dishes and dimsum, definitely the high standard of Cantonese cuisine around the Richmond area. Jade gets 5 stars from me, because I love a special dish that they do so well... their Sakura Pork Patties with Fried...Egg and Fragrant (Scallion) rice. Without this as my personal favorite, it would probably be 4/5 for me. They do one of my favorite simple dishes incredibly delicious! also their cheongfun is pretty good. p.s. I am not sure why the pork patties are called “Sakura”. BUT her Siewmai is also characterized by “sakura” although an extremely standard and ordinary type of Siewmai. Only the sakura patties with rice are what I recommend! The spices, taste and texture of these (correct) pork patties are really goldenstar!"

"I was pleasantly surprised by this spot in Richmond! Friendly service, definitely bigger than it looks from the outside and located in an unassuming strip between a computer store and another small restaurant/cafe. I appreciated the portion size, tasty and freshly grilled. They also had subs but I was way too full to try them. I am sure I will be back to try other things on the menu."

"It has been a long time since I visited Pho Viet Restaurant. I used to visit their previous location so somehow, got really disappointed with their #1 Pho soup. It no longer taste the same nor does it smell the same. Also, the meat given were lesser than before. I raved about this restaurant when I was in Vietnam last year, still thinking that they had the best Pho soup I've tasted. However, it is not anymore and I am quite disappointed. It used to be when you enter their restaurant, you can smell the Pho Soup and once the bowl was served to you, you could inhale the aromatic fragrance of it and start slurping the broth while it was still piping hot.I went there twice this year and the second time, I didn't order the soup anymore, just the fresh salad roll combo with the grilled pork and fried spring roll. The grilled pork had the taste of chicken which I didn't like. I think they used the same baster brush for the chicken. The peanut sauce tasted good and the fried spring roll was ok."

"I was so happy when I saw Pho come to my area because we long needed it, but all that excitement faded quite rapidly. On all 3 of my visits we were encountered with rude and unappealing behavior from the staff, but the latest topped it. Knowing that there might be no outside food or drink allowed, we asked if they were ok with us bringing a cup of coffee expecting a simple "yes" or "no" answer. Instead, the staff member said "ok but we will not offer you the usual complementary tea".We quickly said "have a nice day" and left, but my question is "what does the tea have anything to do with it?"In addition the food is nothing special and at $10 it is the most expensive in the area for a bowl of Pho.Overall they seem really desperate and unsatisfied, I do not know why but that is the wrong attitude to be bringing into the service industry."
