"Writing this after 2 visits - both Saturday arvo. First impression was the warm (but not OTT) welcome & premises were fairly quiet which probably helped. Sat down at a table close to bar & enjoyed a few rounds of pulled tap beers, barman mixed spirits & white wines by the glass. Strong variety of craft tap beers, many of these also available at unrelated Harts Pub in The Rocks. Wines by the glass offered good variety. Dining experience (in a very pleasant room) was excellent in the context of a niche pub - our group ordered Duck Platter share plate, pasta special of the day (seafood based), a duck dish & the excellent brisket burger. Crowd increased through arvo but never impacted service. Really enjoyed this venue based on atmosphere, staff attitude/service, food quality & variety of drinks. Drink prices are a tad high but this was reasonably expected for the range."

"This place has been one of our local eateries dine in and take away for over a decade. Sometimes the food is bland and unappealing and other visits result in something very tasty. You can bring your own, I think, from the pub across the lane or buy from their limited drinks menu. This is not fine dining. The service is friendly and mostly what they serve is tasty. I dare not suggest any particular dish, or you might encounter the chef on his off day! Local, cheap eats: that's what it is. There are cheaper places a couple of kms distant on King Street, Newtown."

"It offers a lot of vegan options and it respects completely the traditional Singaporean cuisine. I tried their laksa and vegan spring rolls. Just delicious"

"We ordered at 7.30. At 9:00 we called her to see what happened to our food. They constantly asked me about my name and gave us no clear answer. The only thing they said was, I guess it's still left. At 9:30 a.m. we called them...again and as before, they always asked me 2-3 times my name, and suddenly they said BYE and hang up. After I called them 5 times, I got a call from them 5 minutes later to say that they close soon and that my order was not done. So two HOURS OF WATER FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTICE, and cough to find an open restaurant at 9.40."
