"I've been to Chu Shing many times but never for Peking Duck and never on an early Friday evening. Both were a pleasant surprise! Apparently lots of people have a tradition to go there on a late Friday afternoon, and quite a number of people were there when we went early, around 6 pm. As a result, there was a nice atmosphere of family and couples. We ordered our duck "three ways": wraps, soup, and in a stir fry. Along with a vegetable and noodle dish, it was way too much good stuff for the two of us, but staff happily boxed it up for us to take home. Atmosphere-wise and food-wise, we both left content."

"Best General Tao's I have had in the city. Always spicy and good portion size. Singapore vermicelli is a great compliment to the General Tao's IMHO. Cannot comment on other dishes but we always order this combination and are never dissatisfied."

"They increased the prices by a dollar to $10,99; about the time! I think they deserve enough money now to offer them a reasonable quality of food. the dings were fresher, seemed no longer to be left over this time (for both reviews I came right. at 12pm, when the buffet was in full). they value the price when they are in the neighbourhood, but not as much variety as the big buffets for $4 or $5 more."

"After watching a movie we wandered around looking for somewhere to eat in the Glebe part of Ottawa, a friendly and slightly scruffy bohemian part of town, rather like Hampstead was in London before the prices rocketed. Von's had a table and we very much enjoyed our meal. There was just one waiter on duty for a pretty full establishment but he zipped around with remarkable speed and friendliness. My wife and I both had the catch of the day, a mix of shrimp and fish and mussels, and it was excellent. The rather watery lemon mousse for dessert didn't impress but overall we had a great meal and we will be back."

"We have eaten at the Thai Lanna for twelve years now, several times a year. The food is consistently the same delicious food time after time. We have ordered the same four dishes for all of those years. Pad Thai, Penang Chicken,Green Mango salad and steamed/sticky rice!"
