"This was our first time Uptown Kitchen and Bar the food was delicious we went on a Thursday and it was quite packed, but we got a place outside I had the waffles and fried chicken and Hubby had the load shrimp and grits with sausage and fried catfish oh my goodness I couldn't stop eating out his dish and I'm not usually a fan of shrimp and granite, but these were the best,"

"Every time I came by, I saw a long waiting line in front of this store, so it caught my attention and finally I will try it! You are a super busy breakfast / Brunch/Lunch restaurant. Many choices in the menu. Servers are friendly and their Maisbeef Hasch is the best EVER!!!! Since I found out this place, I don't go to crackers on the beach or little sheep on the west side. This is my favorite brunch place!! You will not regret it (of course you need to order the right thing)! Will be back!!!"

"Pancakes bigger than your plate! I have heard about Jerry's Grille breakfasts since my youngest son visited my sister several years ago. We finally got to try it while visiting Jacksonville this past weekend and it was every bit as good as he said. You don't think of a sports pub serving an amazing breakfast, right? But they nail it better than most breakfast restaurants. Since they use Certified Angus Beef Brand (my favorite) I went with the country fried steak, 2 over easy eggs, and cheese grits. That country fried steak was crispilicious even after being adorned with scrumptuous sawmill gravy. The cheese grits were perfection, not bland and runny like many places serve. The portions were HUGE. Speaking of huge, have ya seen the Dog House with the pancake that eclipses your plate and topped to 2 eggs any style and smoked bacon or sausage? 3 people got that and it was delicious. I stole a bite of Alexis's pancake and it was light and fluffy. My youngest son got Tony's Big Breakfast, so big it comes on two full sized plates. The staff were all fun and lively. The place was packed so I expected a wait but the kitchen crew were kicking all morning, cranking out platters of fantastic food. Reasonable prices too, I got the bill for our table and was pleasantly surprised. Place makes me wish that I still lived in Jax so I could go there every weekend."

"Black Sheep is a must to visit! Our waitress Ang even let us share the Entree plate on two! Devil eggs come out first, they're delicious. We had Radicchio salad, then steak and potatoes. Everything was perfectly cooked and enjoyable to eat. Make the meal with Black Forest cake a perfect balance of dark chocolate and cherry. While I didn't order a cocktail this time, the menu is full of well-named drinks, which I will pamper in my next visit. Overall, an experience I cannot recommend enough, the ambience is intimate, decorate clean and modern with incredibly friendly staff."
