"Staff were moody as per the lockdown laws, you have to buy food in pubs currently. The staff were insistent that we had to buy mains and took our initial order only to come back and tell us we haven't ordered enough. So we...had to add more to our order. The food wasn't great and to add insult to injury, later on in the night we saw another table get away with ordering 4 portions of chips! This place also happened to be offensively expensive. $12.50 a pint of cider is outrageous. It's a shame because it's obviously a venue which potential but I won't be returning under any circumstances."

"Looked good on entry but it smelled weird. Our table was a bit dirty and so was the glassware. And the cutlery needed a clean too. I ordered a Scotch Egg Benedict which looked nice but the egg could have broken my windscreen if I chose to lob it,and the sauce omg was it from a bottle? I'm picky like that but my wife was ok with it. She was not ok with her Buddha Bowl vegetarian meal. She said it was soggy and bland. The courtyard itself had so much potential but seemed stale and needs a deep clean."

Thierry has assembled a number of his kitchen and dining room crew from Ficelle to hit the ground running in his new Elsternwick location. You get the feeling that his crew know what they provide is special.Mandoline Menu is more International with French influence, than "French". The cooking is brilliant: the prices are affordable. The menu is interesting, varied and regularly changing. Mandoline is open 7-days for Breakfast and Lunch - Wednesday-Sat for Dinner. The special two course (or optional three course) lunch and dinner menus are amazing value. The desserts are to die for.Wine list while not comprehensive is thoughtful and very affordable. BYO wine available too!"

"Tried the first cheesesteak from one of their food trucks and have not looked back.For the uninitiated the cheesesteak is 3 - 4 thin slices of scotch fillet cooked perfectly on a hot flat grill, and then whatever toppings you order (plus cheese of course ) The menu ranges from about $12 - 18 for the dozen or so varieties cheesesteaks, and they have sides of fries, onion rings, chicken wings as well as vegan/vegetarian options. The food is served hot and fresh. The rolls are heated and filled when you receive them. The staff are cheery and seem to want to be there and often I have seen them go out of their way to accommodate.The Good. Just about everything the menu and staff have to offer is quite excellent. Payment is via cash or card. I would have issue trying to fault The Bad. The very worst thing I could think of was there was no Chicken salt (read MSG) for my fries. Beside this they were cooked great, - hot and crispy.The Ugly. Sometimes it may be hard to park but normally not an issue. Its on a main road and so it can get busy .. but if this is the only thing I did not like then kudos to all. The Verdict - would i go back?Easily yes.(many times over)"
