"The first thing to mention about Barr is its location: after crossing a bridge to reach a newly developed area, one comes across an old Danish building located practically over the water. Then, upon entering, the Nordic interior, where light wood, simplicity and stripping reign, is completely overshadowed by the heart of the environment: an immense and impeccable stainless steel kitchen populated by young and enthusiastic cooks to whom one does not you can stop observing. Finally, the food. We ordered the 4-course menu: makarell in foam, raw beef terrine and the fried pork chop. Everything was brilliantly made... ahhh and the panera; the bread far from being a companion, was another protagonist. Each dish came with its wine and each wine had its explanation: from some Austrian novelty to a classic Italian Barabera D'Asti; all of the paired perfectly If Copenhagen's food scene is the city's new big attraction, Barr is definitely one of its stars; because I left with what I came for: love for Nordic and quality gastronomy at every moment of the night."

"Good steakhouse! I'm not sure it's worth the whole hype. if they want kopenhagen style restaurant, this is not. well, it says in the name “American Steakhouse”, so sweat on me. we were also very unhappy with the waiter. but because the manager was very professional, I will not work out the situation."

"A docked house boat doubling as a small restaurant. Very cozy, but not packed too tight for comfort. Ample selection of nice wines, good beer. The menu is tapas-like, with the menu recommending ordering 2 to 3 per person. We ordered that many, plus dessert, and still spend less than 1100 DKK, which makes this place quite reasonably priced by Copenhagen standards, especially given the quality of the food. Smoked fish, fresh vegetables and cheese, excellent bread, all simply but very well prepared, each dish with a little flare. Not pretentious, and far better than it had any right to be. Excellent service, friendly. Outstanding, really."

"Really nice restaurant. The pizzas are really nice and the flavour combinations are really interesting. However, I thought that the portion sizes and amount of toppings etc were not very generous at all. For a few small (albeit nice) pizzas the bill was very expensive (even by Copenhagen standards)."
