"With a few friends we visited the black cooker (as it actually means) on a Sunday in the early evening to complete a nice day.We had reserved what would not have been absolutely necessary. there was plenty of space.The service was very friendly and very fast for the first orders, but then we "forgot" a bit.The ambiente is "sufficient - convenient", so not kitschig or especially. I like that. I had a steak nature with country potatoes, the others had different dishes.My steak was perfect. the kartoffeln plentiful and very good (the chef probably specializes in kartoffels in all variations). the soßen to steak also excellent. I might have expected a little more salate than supplement/deco, but you can't make it right for the steak eaters anyway.No one of my companions had something to put out, but those who had ordered the münzinger pfandl were especially full of the laubes. I'll try this for myself in a timely way.The price is already a bit elevated, but not unharmed.I can recommend the visit to the black cooker for groups. to date, I might rather choose the competition, but can't even justify why."

"We visited the restaurant for lunch on the day of the Easter menu. However, we arrived too soon (around 11 a.m. , and the Easter specialities were not yet available. The waiter spoke in some fine Upper Palatine German accent, which sounds good, but it is not understandable for high German speakers. So the communication was a bit confusing. Don 't forget to bring along your Babel fish, hitchiker. The mood was quite cozy: a lady just knitting at the corner table, decent seniors having some lunch-time beers, celebrating birthday, quite pictoresque. The local Pandurenblut beer is worth a try if one 's a pilsner fan. Food: We 've ordered from the available standard dishes. Fine serving, but average taste. The steak was cut quite thick so there was not much medium in medium rare . The side dish portions were small. The desserts were surprisingly good. We 've been asked about six times if everything is satisfying for us."

Especially to fasching is the hell going on there and with live band the people are heated up. also entices to all-sided bock beer-fested people from the city and the surrounding countryside to the restaurant. the prices are not necessarily favourable but it is. the kitchen is good and trimmed on bayr. house cooking and pork roast. the ambiente is kept original and, above all, by the copper-colored sud boilers, something special."
