"At the end of our 200 miles CAbot Trail ebike trip we congregated here, as this is where we spent our first night and left our cars. There was no buffet; i believe we were too late and it was closed down but they had a full menu. We all got typical breakfast fare omelets, potatoes, bacon, sausage, coffee, and everything was spot on. No criticism whatsoever. I 'm not a breakfast fan but this was as good as anywhere. Interesting aviation forward decor; apparently the Silver Dart was Canada 's first airplane and Baddeck is essentially their Kitty Hawk."

"Living in a tourist town has some advantages, and Baddeck Lobster Suppers is one of those. Although I have access to as much lobster as I can buy whenever I want, there is something extra fun about coming to the BLS (as we call it.) The staff are super friendly, the food is all good (you can't go wrong with lobster) and the casual atmosphere makes you feel like you are at a community supper in rural Cape Breton in the 1950s. Really fun, and relaxing - no worrying about making a mess with lobster on white linens! BLS is my go-to if I am entertaining out-of town guests who haven't tried lobster before. Although the lobsters are on the small size, they are cooked well and prepared so that you don't have to do much work to get them out of their shells. It's a great way to introduce lobster to the un-initiated. The dinner is served with all you can eat mussels, which are cooked plain, and served with melted butter. They also provide a small plate of salads, but I rarely eat them all, favoring instead to save the belly room for more mussels. Desserts are included as well and feature some local favorites such as strawberry/rhubarb crisp - delicious! Often times a retired lobster fishermen is hosting, and he will jump at the chance to teach you how to get all the delectable meat out of your portion. Enjoy this little slice of island life."

"The extended family went here to gather after a funeral for a family dinner. The facility was beautiful. The staff could not have been more accommodating to our large group. The food was exceptional! Everyone ordered different things from the menu and all were very pleased with their orders. I would really recommend this place to anyone."
