"First visit and last From the moment we walked through the door we weren’t impressed fusty smell like old carpets bad fish smell . We should have walked straight back out but as we had booked a table and family had travelled...far to meet up we sat at our table checked out the menu The lady who served our drinks gave off bad vibes, made us feel very unwelcome (don’t think she liked the fact we had a dog) There was an oppressive atmosphere about the place even the dog couldn’t settle We decided to leave rather than eat there the same lady wasn’t happy when we said we weren’t staying, she huffed at us and walked away We went directly across the road to a lovely cheerful cafe and had very friendly service and great (home made) food Won’t ever return to the wagon horses"

"Have been here for years as his so local. at last it did today. very welcome despite the small size of the shop. service amazing, eat amazing quality so far (I went a bit crazy and bought loads.) the best pork cake and jäger cake we have ever tasted. we'll see you next weekend!"

"Went to Hare and Hounds on new years eve noon time and had gammon and my partner had Christmas roast. Both meals were very good and really good value for money as we were able to have the over meal. The only down side...was that we had to wait so long for the meals and then after ordering a desert waited another minutes. Can understand not having enough staff on that afternoon but it spoilt the visit slightly. Would definitely go again when I would hope there would be quicker service."
