"We found this place researching online for a place to eat with vegan options (one of the party is vegan) while we were in the area. I am dismayed that I can't remember what anyone else in the group had though I do remember everyone...was vey pleased with their meal. I do, however, remember my choice of the Grilled Calamari Salad. The calamari was sweet and tender not chewy as is so often the case and the kipfler potatoes were perfectly cooked. The off street parking was a bonus. The service was prompt and pleasant. Only thing I might say was it was a bit dark inside (thought was a bit grey outside) and one of our party felt the coffee could have been hotter though this didn't concern me as I like to be able to drink my coffee without scalding my mouth. All in all a very enjoyable experience for a spur of the moment meal."

"Fondata at Wellers 1872 is a fairly new restaurant where Wellers Hotel commenced operating in 1872. The old hotel was extended and completely renovated and looks brand new, while still retaining the best features of the old building, including the 2 way fire place and chimney made with handmade bricks - something my wife and I used to enjoy when having lunch at Wellers Hotel in the 'old days'.The Restaurant that has replaced the old hotel is hard to fault - the menu, the wine list, the friendly and efficient staff, the environment and the views of the countryside."

"Lovely atmosphere. Very nice and attentive staff , food was absolutely amazing , we had 14 meals , most of which where steak all served at nearly the same time and steak was cooked to everyone's desire and hot ,melt in your mouth , scallops for dessert omg beautiful, such a happy place to eat"

"Regular readers of this blog will know that I have an issue with bakeries using the word ‘patisserie’. However, this time round Brent is well entitled to use such a term. My vanilla slice was outstanding. Selling at a very reasonable $3.80, it was proportioned for the fuller gentlemen and was quite an effort to complete. Nevertheless, I endeavoured and my moustache took a hammering, reserving some custard for snacking later on.The custard was delightful. A really rich, creamy and whipped texture, not overly sweet and packed full of vanilla. There was a mound of it too, hard to contain once I got under way and the potential to make a real mess. The pastry was deceptively crunchy, baked in thin, compacted layers and gave the slice a great platform to pick up and eat freestyle. One only slight negative was the thickness of the icing; though in actual fact the sweetness offset the richness and creaminess of the custard quite well.A real triumph in the North."
