"We ate here on a cold, wet night in February and we couldn't have hoped for better. The young waitress was welcoming, friendly and very efficient. The restaurant has a selection of set menus and also a la carte. We chose a set menu priced at 17.50E each which comprised a ham salad to start, confit du canard then either cheese or dessert and coffee. The meal was beautifully presented and we could not fault the flavours, quality or quantity. There were 6 other tables in use while we were there, all French people, some we presume local and some residents from the hotel. One of the reviews on here rated this restaurant as average as it was 'more for the french locals than tourists' - it is located in a small french town in the heart of France. We were made to feel welcome and yes we were the only English people there but isn't that why you go abroad? To experience their lifestyle and culture? We would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area, Their lowest price set menu was just 9.50E so suits pretty much any budget. The food and service were faultless and we would not heisitate to eat there again."

"Following a lovely meal good service when visiting last year, a group of us ate here twice during a 4 night stay this year (6 people on the first visit, 8 people on the second). Both times we were sat immediately without any issue....We all had different items off of the menu with my boyfriend I selecting the 3 course set menu on both visits. Our friends all enjoyed their food we were very impressed with the presentation, portion size quality of the 3 courses that we had. The service was very good , bless them, the staff speak far better English than we do French! Should we come back next year, we will definitely visit this restaurant again."

"Went lunchtime and had to wait as they were full at 12h00. Returned to be seated by the fire. Beautiful surroundings, old beams, etc. Food was excellent couldn't fault it. Staff were all happy to be at work, English spoken too which was a bonus....I would definitely recommend this restaurant 100% happy with everything."
