"We were told they were the best in town we visited. My wife had the chicken satay and I the beef satay. Meat was tender but the sauce and satay had the taste missing. Will give it another go. Another annoying thing is the take away menu doesn’t have any prices."

"I have vegan eating all over the world and it will not be better than charred kitchen 4 courses vegan tasting dinner with the opportunity to combine wee from the region. a few months ago we had the vegan tasting, and the second time was eating completely different, but as good as the first time. I can only rave."

"Booked a table of 9 for Mother's Day lunch, first they changed the menu on us at last minute, then we waited over 2 hours for our mains. No explanation or apologies only bad attitudes from staff. Final straw was when a table that arrived after us received their mains. We decided to walk out finally learning that the kitchen hadn't even started on our mains. I'm a chef myself, I know what happens when you get swamped but they weren't overly busy. Very poor"

"We decided to try the 19th View as the restaurant had been re-opened under new management. It was well worth the visit! We couldn't fault the service, atmosphere, or most importantly the meal!! The evening was extremely good all round, and value for money...in our opinion. Great for casual dining or a special occasion."

"We dined in the hotel restaurant last week on a three day stay in Orange. We had been told the steaks were cooked well and food good. However our experience with the staff left us feeling quite “cold”. My husband’s steak arrived before mine ,...I told him to start as eating cold food is not good. Then after minutes we noticed locals who had arrived after us were being given their meals all together. Mike pointed out politely) to the waitress that we were still waiting for my meal which was crumbed lamb cutlets. She literally glared at me like she was thinking- how dare you complain) I said “ it would be nice to eat our meal together “. The waitress said nothing and went to the kitchen a few minutes later she emerged and stood in the middle of the room checking everyone had their meals. But did not have the courtesy to come over and tell me she had told the kitchen and it would be coming shortly. After minutes she came over with my meal and very begrudgingly said “ sorry for the delay”. She rushed away as though we might abuse her but that is not the way we had spoken to her. Firstly the chef should have made sure my meal would be served within a few minutes of my husband’s. Then there would be no problem considering I paid for my meal a restaurant price, the waitress should have it explained to her that it is not unreasonable to expect to receive your meal on or near the same time as your partner. Also a polite “ I’m sorry about that I’ll check for you “ then return with an explanation. But to just glare at you and say nothing was really poor service. Sadly the meals were really just average. I went up and ordered desserts they were served up and with plates and ice cream containers it would have been a bit fiddly to carry. There was no offer of assistance but I managed to carry it back to our table. We are thinking of coming back for food week and I don’t think we will dine there again. Disappointing Service"
