"Had organized a family birthday party at this great location in knowle. very well organized by the management. clean and beautiful ambiente perfect for small to medium-sized family friends. the food is freshly prepared with carefully selected ingredients to preserve the quality and authenticity of the food. for our birthday party we had buffet arrangement and that was delicious."

"We celebrated my friend’s birthday with Afternoon Tea in The Burgundy Restaurant. Liam greeted and seated us and was swiftly back to serve us when we were settled. What a pleasant and attentive young man he was throughout our visit. The Afternoon Tea was lovely especially the scones, the only criticism I could make is that the sandwich fillings weren’t the best we’ve had in our birthday teas."

"Pure rubbish. We had s Groupon voucher for my mothers birthday. The voucher was for the Ala carte menu!!. What a con. The menu has now downgraded to limited selection and poor quality food. My parents have been here previous and the menu was as per the regular Ala carte menu. The restaurant obviously now believe that that the vouchers only should be sufficient to provide Iceland food and poor quality market meat. This is a shame as the this was our first experience and obviously our last.Also rude waiters."

"We booked a lunch for 3 people. We were seated quickly. There was a good menu options available We didn’t have starters, I had the lasagne, garlic bread and side salad, followed by a coffee. My friends had the Thai green curry and the other...the Seabass. My fiends both had desserts, cheesecake and the other sticky toffee pudding and they were both really nice. Overall very good, good value."

"Because it’s on our doorstep we took my visiting daughter and son in law for brunch. Unfortunately it was not very good. Food arrived in dribs and drabs followed some time later by the cutlery. Poached eggs were rock hard,toast was not toasted,bacon was half cooked and sausages tasteless. A request for brown sauce(not unreasonable with a cooked breakfast) was met with « we don’t have any » We will be walking past the Greswolde rather than into it in future. Shame."

"As a treat for me and my mum I booked a spa day with afternoon tea. The spa was fantastic as well as the treatment. However when we found the bar to have our afternoon tea, the tables were all full of plates and glasses and there didn’t seem to be enough staff on. When we eventually sat down in the snug, it was like sitting in a cave. No music or ambiance, so I played some music on my phone. We were served our tea and coffee quite promptly, but to food took some time, not a problem if you are waiting for freshly made sandwiches and cakes. Well it arrived. no introduction of what the sandwiches were, so had to guess. They were dry and the filling were not recognisable. The scones look like they had come out of packet from Aldi and the slices of stodgy cake were vile. I have been to many afternoon teas and this was by far the worst one. Will never eat here again!!"
