"We had a lovely meal overlooking the ocean, with outstanding service. Between the two of us, we ordered green salads, halibut, and sturgeon (wrapped with a prawn mousse) a particularly innovative presentation. They were able to accommodate my husband's need for a gluten free...(celiac) meal. Happily, almost all desserts are GF. We ordered the Sea Buckthorn chocolate dessert, which was gorgeous and scrumptious, and the rhubarb tart w/bay ice cream. All excellent!"

"The menu offered some interesting options but I opted for bacon and eggs as I needed something simple. Nice smoked bacon, loads of fresh fruit and very nice homemade bread. My friend had the eggs Benedict - lots of ham and a brown butter hollandaise that she said was great. Nice water view. Good value."

"The menu is primarily glutenfree. Most meals are cooked from scratch onsite. The serving staff are very knowledgeable about Coeliac and assured me of the safety of what I ordered. It is pricey but portions are good sized and meant for sharing. Also the food is over the top delicious!"

"This was a great culinary experience in all aspekten. first we had a very friendly and warm waitress. it was very helpful with the recommendations and suggestions that improved our experience. second, eating was fantastic. the quality and taste of everything was top-notch. the order of the spot prawns with garlic brot was a great choice. we also had the tuna mexicano that had some really unique but amazing aromen. for the escape we shared the smoked wild jump salmon. again it was fantastic and I didn't complain about it at all. we decided to try this dessert and had a slice of the basque cheese cake. it wasn't too sweet, what I prefer. the prices here can be at the upper end, but they are absolutely worth it. destined a reservation well in advance."

"Prices are on the high side, though the view is wonderful. Most restaurants serve a decent size appetizer, but not here. 4 scallops and a bit (4 bites) of greens, with a half of a strawberry for $14. It was very tasty, just disappointing in size. Hubby had a pasta entree and it was a decent size, though still $24. The restaurant was inside the Best Western resort and since it was raining, we dined here,. Would probably go elsewhere if there was to be another time."

"We completely lucked out on Sunday afternoon! We had the best meal, view and service at The SandBar Bistro, the BEST. First of all, our server Krysta was absolutely delightful, (which made the whole experience of having the best meal ever that much better, thank...you Krysta The meal, OMG, it was the Chef's Special... and this amazing Chef made us the most delicious crab, mussels and clams served with with grilled lemons, garlic and dipping bread.. it was SO GOOD! Highly recommend the SandBar for stunning views, fabulous food and wonderful service! Really looking forward to returning! Thank you!"
