"My wife and I shared some vegan nachos and had ever a vegan burger. the burgers were beautiful, the chips had a really nice level of crispness to them, but the natchos were probably the best I ever had. the natchos themselves were only standard crispy triangular natchos, but the rich and amount of torppings was the best I ever had for natchos (vegan or not.) when you look through the reviews, my wife also did one and she postes a picture of the natchos."

"We had chorizo cooked in cider and thyme to start which was very nice. Then we ate chicken gyros which was marinated chicken, chillis, olives and peppers in a gluten free wrap along with very crispy chips, coleslaw and tzatziki. A lot of food! Very tasty and well presented on boards. Our table overlooked the cobb and the boats. Staff were pleasant and it was very busy."

"This is really a gem of a pub. It’s hard to find a pub nowadays that hasn’t been refurbished into a gasto eatery selling salt and pepper squid and blackened burgers! Not that there’s anything really wrong in the for-mentioned, it’s just there so ubiquitous....The Crown is lovely, lovely landlord and landlady selling excellent beer and wonderful tasty homemade food in a smashing village in a super part of Dorset. Book to avoid disappointment you won’t regret it. Oh and it’s fantastic value for money too."

"Was looking forward to dining here, but having read the reviews was concerned. Service was perfect, good looking efficient staff. Ordered Sunday lunch here, nice table upstairs, the tables are well spaced giving you lots of personal space. Decor is superb. I had read that the vegetables were undercooked and that was not wrong, nothing wrong with them just a little crunchy! I'm not a fan of chicken on the bone but I ordered it and was shocked to find it still had some feathers on the leg!! This has now confirmed that I will never order anything on the bone again. I had to cover it up. The meat itself was cooked perfect but I didnt expect that on my plate. For Sunday lunch please serve chicken sliced or just the breast, no one wants to see white feathers on their dinner. My friend had the beef and said it was very good. The lunch comes with unlimited Yorkshire puddings which is a great idea, although the personal gravy boats only have about 4 tablespoons of gravy in them. Overall a good dinner, wouldn't rush back but will return at some point (although wont have the chicken unless it's deboned!"
