"Absolutely delicious food with intense aromas and cooked with great products. the chefs here in this restaurant offer something different from others in the environment, with their diners containing aromes from different cuisines and countries, perfect to without any mistake. a more defined guard from the chefs here at the gaff and keep it up. the tapas style dishes works brilliantly with this type of menu, so they try many different dishes. came here for a lunch that had booked a few weeks before, the staff here are really friendly and knowledgeable compliment their top notch service. the prices are reasonable and according to my opinion offer excellent value for eating that they get and how it is cooked. I would definitely recommend to come here if they were in or past butgavenny for a lunch or dinner service."

"What a sound! derek found this place on the phone and I'm so glad he did. I had one of the best lasagnes I've ever had, from the nicest, friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. derek had fish and chips, the fish was huge, with REAL chips! he couldn't finish it and that says something. we sat in their beautiful conned beer garden, surrounded by flowers, under a sunshade that was welcome today. I really recommend this place!"

"Will not be going again and never recommend. Been going for a few years and always had a frosty encounter by a certain female member of staff while booking or at the restaurant,I’m sure they all know which one . But the attitude while making a booking today was enough to make anyone hang up the phone .im sure no one else likes to be made to feel stupid while making a booking at a restaurant. Disgusting attitude."

"We visited The Sloop on our way back to Chepstow from Monmouth. Great situation on the main road and good parking. Staff were friendly and welcoming even though we'd arrived around 5ish wanting hot food!! Food was excellent and plentiful but no local beer on offer"

"The food here, is easily the most beautiful food I've ever had in a restaurant or pub, I myself had the hunters chicken, it was cooked to perfection, my fiancé had the pandy burger, and as burger fanatics as we are has said its the best burger he's ever had, my mother had the faggots and has said you can easily tell they are homemade and taste gorgeous, my dad had the beef pie and said it was lovely, the chips that come with the food as well were really well cooked. Will definitely be returning."
