"The first thing you’d want from a restaurant is good food. Their food is great. The way they innovate and use flavours together is truly fantastic. The next thing you want is good service. The staff are always attentive but never intrusive. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. Finally you want a relaxing atmosphere. The background music is just that so you have no need to shout to be heard. Claire is always welcoming and graceful. Cannot recommend them enough."

"Had a lovely Sunday lunch, delicious roast beef, Yorkshire puddings etc. Thoroughly enjoyed the food served next to one of the cosy log fires. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, despite being extremely busy. Highly recommend a visit."

"Lovely local pub with log fires. Dog friendly, lots of different ales and drinks. We were a party of 10 and we all ate a meal. The food was absolutely delicious. All the meals were freshly home made and all served together. Would highly recommend. The staff were super friendly and really helpful, they went above and beyond to make sure we had a good evening."

"Arrived at the restaurant and met by lovely waitress who showed my friend and I to our table. Drinks order taken promptly and menus and specials explained. Our lovely waitress was rushed off her feet, greeting guests staying at the inn while still ensuring we...were enjoying our meal. The venison steak was incredibly good and my friends pork belly equally superb. Will definitely be making a return visit."
