"We rate the food and atmosphere here. Last night the open fire was alight and added to the comfort and homeliness of this pub. The service is generally very good especially behind the bar. Like most places it's the staff that make or break any place so we know it's the management that deserves the credit."

"My elderly mum and I enjoyed a delicious sirloin steak by the roaring fire. The steak was cooked to perfection and came with delicious mushrooms and tomatoes. I had fat chips and mum had sautéed potatoes. I think I’ll go for the sautéed potatoes next time. We were very well looked after by Chloe and Kuda and look forward to returning very soon."

"The food was excellent. both early and main course were delicious. I have no doubt that the dessert would have followed that suit if we were to burst! the service was attentive without being intrusive. that was our first visit, but certainly not our last. others recommend trying this place."
