"They started turning on all the lights and it wasn’t even 11 pm. It got super bright, ruined the ambiance and feel of the experience. We were there for a birthday. And ordered a lot, so it was not cheap. The least one can do is let guests enjoy their final moments of the evening instead of shoo-Ing them out with “hints” that it’s time to leave."

"Gorgeous patio view of the Toronto skyline from some tables, patio heaters etc so warm at night. The service was hit and miss, mostly miss. The waiter was cordial but the service received was secondrate, as other than the first course of three, utensils arrived after the food was delivered and was sitting in front of us for some time. The steaks were both overcooked to medium, not medium rare and we were told twice, both by the waiter and subsequently by the restaurant manager, that it was the lighting outside. When I picked up my filet and showed the waiter, he admitted it was definitely medium and this was before the manager came over. Communication is clearly lacking, which is also what the waiter said when the dessert arrived and was melting while we waited for utensils, again. I will say the tuna tartare and lobster bisque were both very good. I would skip the fries too thick and no flavour and order the truffle potato gratin as a side instead it was wonderful and a generous portion as well. For just under for two, including a bottle of wine and tip, I would have expected not only a better meal, but better service. In addition, selfparking is now not basically ridiculous"

"Was here for business last week and was looking for some good steak. Glad I choose this restaurant because it's meat heaven! The salad bar was good, loved the salami and the cheese was fantastic. I can't really comment on the sides as I mostly avoided because I didn't want to fill up on anything other than the meat. I did have some pita and hummus to compliment the steaks. They have like 16 different types of offerings to be carved up. Bacon wrapped filet, garlic sirloin, parmesan crusted rib steak, cheese stuffed sirloin, lamb, chicken legs, parmesan chicken, salmon, pineapple and fried bananas. Everything was Well seasoned, cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious! Some of the best meat I've ever had, and I ate as much as I could before I hit the hard meat wall!A couple points of interest: 1. The place is open concept, lively and loud. If you want a quite relaxed dinner go somewhere else. 2. Sometimes the waiting gets tough! Each portion of meat carved is typically only a couple bites, enough to get the taste buds rolling. I suppose you can ask for more, but we really wanted to try everything first and then get seconds of our favorites. Sometimes you have an empty plate while waiting till next meat is offered. 3. More red meat than anything. If you don't like red meat you will likely not get your $$$ worth. 4. All red meat is cooked to perfect med rare. If you don't eat your red meat med rare or pink. you will not enjoy. 5. Service can be slow at times. There is a lot going on and with the type of service they offer there is fewer waitresses. sometimes we had to wait without drinks and plate changes were not often. 6. Pretty expensive. I got my $$$ value by eating few sides and as much meat as possible. However, if you eat a nice salad and some sides, you might fill up before you get a good return on the price. $145 w/tip for two adults each with one Heineken on a Thursday night. I think Friday and Saturday is even more expensive. Loved it. Will come back if in the area again!"
