"The Saltwater Grill has been a Galveston staple for some time. I was encouraged that the menu has been updated with new items, while preserving some of their best offerings - I swear the Shanghai Delight is laced with Prozac because I'm always happy when I eat it. This time I tried one of their new "naked" offerings, hoping the fish would be allowed to shine. I had the grilled redfish, which was done perfectly - the very thin edges were a little crisp and carmelized but the fish was still moist and flavorful. I did miss the bread - this was one of the few restaurants in town that started with something with substance, so I was quite disappointed when a little crock of crackers appeared instead of bread. The restaurant is very noisy - I was ok hearing my companions but certainly couldn't hear the server well."

"The live music was an exciting treat for us. The food was great and atmosphere was great too. The staff was very friendly, especially the bus boy ! "Went for our annual NYE Italian meal. No complaints on our food, just on the service. We had to ask our waitress, and remind her for drink refills. My father was about to get up and get the refill himself since she was no where around. I also asked her to bring my soup and salad out as my entree, and the soup was brought out with the pre-entree salads. For dessert, we were brought menus, but were not told about all the desserts offered like we saw other tables. Thankfully, we saw the cannolis offered to other table and asked for them. All other tables were offered NYE hats, glasses, etc. and we were not. Not sure if she was just new, but not the service we expected."
