"We were excited to read about a Thai restaurant not to far from where we live.We visited Thai Square for dinner; we were the only guests in the restaurant, but there was a lot people picking up take-out. My husband ordered Pad Thai (his go-to meal) and I had a vegetable dish with coconut sauce. Although we had asked for the food to be medium spicy it was totally mild. My husband's Pad Thai was missing the green onions, bean sprouts and other items we think are part of this dish. My veggies were nice and crunchy. As an appetizer we had the Chicken Satay; the chicken was very dry and the peanut sauce that came with it too. It looked like it had been sitting around in the dish all day... it had a brown crust on top. After we sat down and looked around, I noticed how dirty the floor was, the ledges along the wall (table height) were dusty and the neighboring chairs were full of crumbs. Our waiter was either very new or just had no idea.... nice enough, but slow. He brought knives for us holding them by the blade, not the handle. I saw him holding the glasses for water inside the glass. He also handled money and did not wash his hands in between. So, although the food was acceptable we will not be back."

"One of the best Hakka Chinese restaurants in the city, I have mostly taken away from this restaurant. I would recommend visiting this place for Chinese Hakka cuisine. From which the chili chicken and fried rice are a must. The portions are great, the location is the best downtown right behind Nathan Phillips Square. Service is fast. It is usually busy on weekends so you have enough time with you."
