"Is it legal to charge more than the state tax? The state tax is 7% and this place charges a 9% tax. I strongly dislike businesses that try to take advantage of people. The sushi is ok but not worth the value in price. Hino Oishi in Carmel has better quality sushi for the same price, nice environment to dine in the water is free (Yamato charges for water). All Fried rice should have carrots peas in it no exceptions and all we received was rice and chicken. I have been trying a lot of sushi hibachi places since my favorite spot, Ginza, off 38th st, closed permanently after COVID shut downs. I will not be visiting this Yamato place again."
