"Dropping in on some friends who had dinner here..I ordered the taco sampler. Impressed with the size of the dish I soon realised it was made up with a bed of finely chopped lettuce which was not really appetizing. Some of the lettuce was old and brown while some appeared fresh(at opossite ends of the plate). The tacos were okay...however I made the decision that IF I ever went back, I wouldn't order the same dish.......ah...I should have ordered the bottomless Margaritas......"

"The first time I visited, a few of my friends have told me that it's really good. It's authentic. What they failed to tell me was its expensive. For the variety of food they served and the price. It just didn't add up for me. For 4 sticks of isaw manok, it was already 180 pesos. Now, I don't think I would have had a problem if the isaw was out of this world. But no, it was just doused with vinegar and chicken oil. Nothing special. Everything in the menu was not anything special. The kansi, the single serving bowl, was not special the broth was not special. I don't understand why for many this has been a go-to spot. Perhaps in the future if they tweak their menu I will come back.

"Their branch in Glorietta has a 2 shop 1 order concept. You can cross order from the adjacent Burnt Edges resto, obviously operated by one company. Try Shrimps by the Pound, in Salty Eggsperience flavor. Those are served hot in a plastic bag, with all...the flavors mixed in. You will be given disposable plastic gloves to enjoy the shrimps more. Nice fresh taste in salty egg flavor. This is better enjoyed with rice or potatoes. I also recommend their Spicy Shrimp Tacos 2 tacos per order. They come with avocado, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and shrimps of course in hard taco shells. This was an instant hit with us. Don’t bother ordering Beef Ribs from the other resto’s Off The Grill menu. This is a waste of money. Meat had too much fat that isn’t easy to separate and turns into an oily mess when it cools down. I don’t know what they were thinking. Bottom line: Thumbs up for Shrimp Bucket, but Thumbs down for Burnt Edges."

"In an attempt to start my review with something informative, i found myself dumbfounded. Empingao doesnt have any pop culture reference nor literary influence. All i know is that it translates to f$&#ing awesome. One of those colloquial terms frequently used in conversation.<br>

Interior. Empingao is the quintessential hole-in-the-wall joint. The place is small and it is not as eye-catching from afar. There is an air-conditioned area that can probably accommodate 10 people. <br>

"Tbh it looked good at first. the service wasn't really good, and the food wasn't great either. Good concept but too pretentious idk what they were trying. And honestly they keep using the same sweet sauce (very sweet) on all of the dishes. The food wasn't bad but I don't think it deserves it's rating. disappointed."
