"Dropping in on some friends who had dinner here..I ordered the taco sampler. Impressed with the size of the dish I soon realised it was made up with a bed of finely chopped lettuce which was not really appetizing. Some of the lettuce was old and brown while some appeared fresh(at opossite ends of the plate). The tacos were okay...however I made the decision that IF I ever went back, I wouldn't order the same dish.......ah...I should have ordered the bottomless Margaritas......"

" A definite place to go to for meat lovers! Start of your meal with their bone marrow steak and tacos. You will not be disappointed! I also enjoyed looking at the artworks inside the restaurant that displayed the different cuts of meat. Of course, they serve great steaks too that are cooked to your preference. Great restaurant in the Fort!

"In an attempt to start my review with something informative, i found myself dumbfounded. Empingao doesnt have any pop culture reference nor literary influence. All i know is that it translates to f$&#ing awesome. One of those colloquial terms frequently used in conversation.<br>

The visit was ages ago and this review has been stuck in my backlogs for x number of months. The visit was a combination of recon work and dinner. <br>

Interior. Empingao is the quintessential hole-in-the-wall joint. The place is small and it is not as eye-catching from afar. There is an air-conditioned area that can probably accommodate 10 people. <br>

Salmon Tacos. Three bite-sized tacos with grilled salmon, mango mayonnaise, chimichuri and lettuce. Another taco that i liked. The mayo x chimichuri combination works well with the salmon. "The food in Sunnies Café is delicious, but be prepared to wait a while for service. I arrived at 11am for brunch, and was given water and a menu. I quickly decided what I wanted, and put the menu down to make clear that I was ready to order. Five minutes passed, and nobody approached me. I eventually had to flag down a waitress to place my order. The wait for food was quite long as well, which was not hugely understandable as there was not many other customers in the restaurant. When it eventually did arrive, the Crispy Eggs Benny with Norwegian Smoked Salmon was delicious and well presented. Having finished my meal, I pushed away the plate and left a used napkin over it, making it clear that I was ready to go. Again, no service, and I had to raise my hand to ask for the bill.Fantastic food, very pleasant and polite service, but someone needs to light a fire under the staff to get them to get a move on."
