"This place/place is disgusting. I live the street. It's an empty house and it's been for years. It is a beautiful house, pretty cool looking, it was built in the 30s that I believe. But there is no pub, restaurant or Tamales, and I don't know who Don is, but he definitely doesn't sell tomals there."

"Parking is always a challenge on campus and what parking you can find is metered and fairly expensive. I enjoyed the quesadilla plate and guava juice. A word of caution I overstayed my welcome and received a parking ticket, bylaw officers are very attentive on the UEL"

"Was here for a late evening bite after the lessons. conveniently located just a few blocks away from robson. it was the only vegetarian, healthy and economic thing at the time. the sitting area is surprisingly large, I would not only have thought if I looked from outside to inside. the walls are decorated with popular Mexican films from pastness."

"When i passed by this place i've never knew this place gets a high rating because it doesn't look like one. the place is like a minimart that sells lots of other country's packaged goods and also bakery. this time that i know this place have a good rating, i've decided to give it a try, and well inside there are many variation of food, bakery goods, and some hot food items as well like sandwhich, well i got the flan, tripple cheesecake, and a sandwhich can't remember which one it's atm. but i do enjoy the flan more as it's soft, sort of in the middle texture of jelly and cake, and the taste of sweetness is just right, the sandwhich, it's not really recommended, as it's not really flavourful to me, but it's well made i must say, it's something that you can eat 1000 times and not get bored of, the hint of spices and flavours is in the burger but it's not overwhelming. and this is the first time i tried a burger that have stringbeans type of vegetable is accompanied with the meat, definitely okay but i find it there's not much crunch with boiled stringbeans. i find the food that i bought it's just alright, but i must say the empanadas is definitely alright."

"This place is awesome! Haven't had a dish I haven't liked! Cash only, so come prepared, and you won't regret it! The ladies who run this place are amazing at what they do! The tacos and papoosa's are mouth watering. My partner and I always leave with full bellys and take whoever we can here."

"Was heading for Pho when we saw this little joint, it does not look like much on the outside, but the host and owner Hector was very pleasant and the food was very fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced. The Beef Soup was especially tasty, and the beef in the beef tacos were generous and tender."

"I've had tortilla soup a number of times, but never like this. It was basically a hot coloured broth with a lot of red pepper flakes or chili bits. A few tortilla chips were floating on the top, having just been added, along with a small amount of cheese and a dollop of avocado. Terrible. I took 2 spoonfuls and threw it out. What a waste of money. I didn't bother going back to complain because the 2 people who served me were anything but friendly, and basically seemed pretty apathetic. Go to the Soup Meister on the other side of the market."

"Disappointing tacos : The picadillo was unexciting but fine, the chicharron was pretty flavourless but also somehow too spicy in a couple spots) and mostly just shredded cabbage and fat. Both of us are still hungry enough to eat a proper meal after two underfilled tacos apiece, definitely not worth paying for dinner when it feels like an appetizer and tastes like many a leftover casserole from my childhood"
