"We made this place spontaneous and I can't be disappointed with anything. oysters tasted excellent as starter with the glass champagner. overall, tasty eating, perfect professional service next to right, decent atmosphere in the right center of meadow. for years in how to live...can I discover a new place to enjoy beautiful moments in life. highly recommended."

"We went to "GUSSHAUS" for dinner on a hot summer evening. we had made a reservation, but weren't offered the option to sit on one of the tables outside; it would have been a little uncomfortable on the moderately busy street anyway.inside, the main restaurant has no windows, which is a little claustrophobic, but the interior looks ok. service is between brisk and brusque, not exactly charming.we had high expectations for the food, as mr.petz, the chef and owner is quite famous in local foodie circles, and is said to be also very accommodating and imaginative regarding veggie options.starters were quite good, a red pepper/aubergine terrine and a small portion of asparagus, which at 17.- euro is ridiculously expensive. as a main dish, the only (!!!) veggie option were green beans with buttered bread crumbs, a tiny portion, but boy were they soaked in butter and therefore extremely heavy. not ideal for a summer dish, if you are hungry and actually a real let-down.tarte tatin as a dessert was also small and buttery, not very tasty, disappointing actually.maybe the aficionados of kidney, liver and tripes will continue to rave about this supposedly "down to earth" cooking, but I would habe expected more."

"Choose between 3-course with soup, 3-course with appetizer or 4-course menu (appetizer, soup, main and dessert). Not sure how often the menu rotates but had the venison tartare with picked cranberry, white asparagus soup with golden trout sorrel oil, entrecôte (steak) and apricot dumpling....Vegetarian options also available. Had a reservation on a Friday night but didn’t seem necessary. On par with some Michelin rated places. Friendly, efficient service. Highly recommended."

"We discovered this restaurant just behind our hotel but it was just what we wanted; modern light cuisine in a contemporary setting. I had the teriyaki salmon and my wife had the lamb fillet. Good wine by the glass choices and sides of vegetables. Very...high quality in an unassuming environment left us very pleased. Service was personal and attentive. We were surprised there weren't;t more people there. Just behind the Kempinski Hotel at the North West end of the Ringstrasse."
