"It's obvious this place has new ownership since the pandemic began because it's become quite dumpy and run down. The patio needs some major cleaning up and updating and the inside needs a deep clean. Staff here is incredibly friendly and there is a bit of a wait for food, despite not being busy, so it's definitely fresh and piping hot when it comes out. Food portion is decent and we'd say it's just ok. Fish is nice and buttery but it is quite greasy. The chowder was an interesting super oily broth that lacked flavour. Mostly full of potatoes, couldn't find too much fish but a good sized portion. It definitely needs more cream because it's thin as chicken stock. Prices are better than most places but this place doesn't seem to be what it once was. Overall, an alright place to stop if nothing else is open but I'd try something else next time."

"Seasonal cafe at the end of October. Nice place, but they closed the kitchen 35 minutes early when we drove all the way from Halifax to bad because we were 4 and they had 5 more people after us too. So no soup, no sandwiches, we could only get baked goods and tea. Carrot cake has no nuts (thanks!! and Bumbleberry crisis was warm and deelish. The owner should ensure that they close at 3 p.m. Sunday to pay employees by 3:30 p.m. to continue to offer food for customers."

"Food was good but more basic. They were a bit light on the salmon on the smoked salmon bagel. I'm guessing this is a popular option for the area but it's nothing worth driving specifically for. We did like the lemon square and they had lots of baked goods to choose from."
