Our family stopped in for lunch on a road trip from Halifax to Lunenburg. What a find! It's a cute little diner/restaurant on the outskirts of Chester. Definitely has a 50's theme to it. The premises in the restaurant are wheelchair accessible and can also be used with a wheelchair or physiological limitations, Depending on the weather, you can also sit outside and eat.

What User doesn't like about The Stretch Diner:
1 piece fish and chips is 11.00 but because my bf didn't want batter on his fish we were charged 14.00 for an extremely small piece of pan fried fish and a tiny amount of fries. The clubhouse sandwich I ordered was completely flavourless (even the mayo had very little flavour) and that was also 14.00. Needless to say we both ended up throwing away more than we ate and will never go back.

Feeling as if you're in Hollywood once, and to consume the experience; that's always possible in this beautiful decorated diner, The sugar-sweet desserts of the restaurant also shine not only in the eyes of our little guests. If you want to have breakfast, a tasty brunch awaits you, You can also discover delicious South American dishes on the menu.

Stopped by after not be able to get take out at a Mahone Bay eatery. The fish and chips were cooked perfectly and the portion was just right. The haddock chowde...

"There's nothing missing from this place. Quality coffee made properly by friendly people. I especially like that they've teamed up with 2 of the area's finest establishments for their baked goods and lunches. The atmosphere they've created in a refurbished barn is welcoming and comfortable, spacious and cozy. I'd move in if I could."

"We've been going here for years for fried seafood. It's always good and prices are generally better than in nearby tourist destinations like Mahone Bay or Lunenburg. The view is hard to beat, especially if you manage a table by an oceanside window in the small dining room. It's too bad Tripadvisor doesn't allow ratings in half-star increments. This is a 3 1/2-star place."
