"We have been going to this restaurant since it opened MANY years ago. It has been the place of many family gatherings for special occasions. The last few years the food and service has been going downhill significantly and we vowed not to return last...time. But we gave it another chance on the weekend and I’m happy to report we had a good experience. Our server was A1. Sadly I didn’t get her name, but we sat in the section in front of the kitchen, on Sunday, for supper. I had the fettuccine primavera and it was creamy, fresh and very tasty. The rest of the folk in my group also enjoyed their meals. I found a big jump in the prices but in these times of Covid19 I guess it’s to be expected. I hope they continue to improve. All Covid19 protocols were in place and observed."

"Been here several times since it opened with various people, and I always enjoy the hot chocolate, I take it with what really tastes like real whipped cream. MMMM! Probably a little more reasonably priced coffees (etc) & sweats than it's rivals of both Canadian and American origins.This location has drive through service, (though I cpmpletly disagree with these) lots of inside seating, and nice outdoor seating in warmer weather too."

"Nice little shop in an out of the way area. Found it on a walk while staying at the Holiday Inn. I ordered a double shot Latte which was quite nice. Also purchased some Nova Scotia oat cookies. If I lived in this area it would be my go to coffee shop! Some cool sounding food options here also."

"I had a conference at the hotel but didn't stay there. I decided to grab breakfast at the buffet since it would be quick. The food was good and at the right temperature. However, if getting breakfast there again I would order from the menu instead as it was pretty pricey for what was offered."

"It's around the corner from my work so it is a convenient quick fast restaurant. The staff know you by name only after going a couple of times and the food is good.The have a great breakfast menu and the portions are large. Lunchtime is when they rock and you can get darn near anything you would make at home. That can be fried chicken, lasagna, pan fried haddock w/ mashed and veg. (very good) to hamburgers and back to full turkey dinners. If you have a hunger on and your in Burnside, drop into smokey's restaurant it's not 5 star. it's just good homestyle food."

"I have been going to Fan's for years.....started when it was called Fran's. I went 2-4 times per week. I've watched the service disappear, and the quality and quantity of the food deteriorate while the prices climbed. I'm taking my business elsewhere. To think this "institution" has been reduced to "crap" is sad."
