"Looking at the website, this restaurant looked like a nice place to go for a quality meal. Despite the website blurb, the dining experience was far from truly pleasing . Yes, the food was presented well (bar the burnt bits), but the food tasted bland and had no flavour. Ambience was lacking and the staff looked pretty miserable.I usually go for a dessert, but, based on the main, I didn 't bother. Won 't be returning in a hurry."

"Food was really bland, unauthenticate in taste and presentation and lacking both meats and vegetables in each dish. Won't be using again. Ordered 4 basic dishes as takeaway but paid over $100."

"Quite Possibly the Best Indian in Hurstville. ISpice is quite possibly the best Indian cuisine in Hurstville by virtue of there being no other Indian restaurants in the suburb. (However, of course, there is Mirchi Indian Nepalese at the top-end Westfield Hurstville shopping centre. It would be a tough ask for the iSpice staff to make curries freshly, though; but, the curries may sometimes be palatable but are discernibly not freshly made and are more likely than not reheated, sometimes inadequately. On the other hand, the naans tend to be freshly prepared or, if not prepared, cooked. Other snacks such as the chicken tikka is unlikely to be prepared in the morning; but, it nevertheless tastes decent. The cost of iSpice's items is similar to what can be expected for Indian cuisine in the area. It is not necessarily expensive but you could probably do with better value at the adjacent Subway or other eateries, even with the thali meal (curries, rice, plain naan, and drink . iSpice, conveniently located in the lower-end Westfield Hurstville food court, does not have its own dining area and the ambience varies from time of day and day of the week. In spite of that, it can be said that the area is perhaps not the best place to have any sort of fancy affair. Instead, it is an acceptable place to have an no-nonsense, utilitarian lunch for workers in the area or afternoon tea for schoolchildren. Potentially a redeeming factor of iSpice is its service, which can be fast and friendly. However, this depends on the server of the day and can vary among the server. On balance, we would recommend iSpice but only if you have an insuperable hunger for Indian cuisine in Hurstville or, if no other good options exist, in the area. iSpice is by no means bad but that does not necessarily make it good dining."

"We organised a 55th Birthday surprise for Mike for the 26th September with 18 close friends. The restaurant table looked incredible, and the ambience was relaxed and classy. Rishi was so helpful with the planning, he went out of his way to accomodate all of my requirements. Also the restaurant provided wonderful service and food on the night, the waiter was so courteous and served the table with a smile, certainly a trait not found in every venue! Our guests raved about the food and many of them are locals and have a good idea of what works in Avalon, most of them had already been to dine at the restaurant and all will be back! I can't thank you enough for the hospitality, friendly service and beautiful food! See you soon :"

"Solid source of Taiwanese food that hasn't disappointed me yet. My recent visit saw me go with a classic pork congee $7) with century egg fried bread stick $2.50), which delivered on those comfort food feels. Also pictured are items we had from a few other visits last year, for both dine in and takeaway. egg crepe w/ fried bread stick, $5.50 pork floss egg crepe, $6.80 soybean milk, $2.80 deluxe value meal C, $15.80 pork mince with rice meal, side dish choice: Taiwanese fried chicken bites, drink choice: Calpis no.26 pork chop noodle soup, $14.80 Ordering is at the counter and I've found the service to be adequate each time. Note that that the separate breakfast menu is available until 11am, though some items can sell out much earlier. There's self service water next to the ordering counter, and a mixture of indoor and outdoor seating to choose from."
