"Typical Tim Horton's fare, quick, convenient and fair priced. Got to know the AM staff, they all had fun doing their job, brought a smile to your face. A lot of locals came in for coffee or tea, and to catch up on the local...gossip."

"I feel so sad to write this review as I'm so disappointed with our experience at Summerhill. We planned a special day trip to visit this place for High Tea and were so excited about going there. We're both British and enjoy High Tea and know what a real one consists of. To our complete dismay we were given sweetened cream cheese instead of clotted cream with our High Tea. The sandwiches were one bite tiny triangles of cream cheese and cucumber that didn't amount to one sandwich per person and the tiny fruit tartlet had the same sweetened cream cheese with lemon juice added making it a runny, sour mess. Each tier of the High Tea was cream cheese with added ingredients and was very scantily portioned. In addition to the poor food, our spoons were heavily rusted and the jam dish was badly chipped at the top. We could have cut our hands if we weren't mindful. We felt very insulted to pay over $43 which included a tip for the waitress, who was indeed lovely and cheerful. We adore small businesses and go out of our way to support them because so many have to compete with the large restaurant chains. Sadly, the only thing British and nice about this place are the eclectic decorations which truly brought back memories of England. If this was any indication of the shortcuts made to the food then I can only imagine what other shortcuts are made with the menu items. There is a slogan at the bottom of the menu that says if you like us tell everyone, if you don't tell us. While that's a nice touch, it shouldn't be left to the customer to have to speak up to get what they originally ordered from the menu nor should it be expected that they return to give them another chance. Why would anyone waste their money a second time? If they're choosing to give very skimpy portions, sweetened cream cheese instead of real clotted cream and serving it with rusty cutlery and broken dishes with a smile, then they know they're doing it. I would not recommend nor return."

"We were 1 night in port hope and breakfast was not included in our hotel room booking. in the hope to avoid fast eating, I have carried out a google map search in this night and found railside restaurant. first I was uncertain whether this place actually served. breakfast but then I saw a fairly recent evaluation of the breakfast available only at the weekend, with the owner reacted with open days at 9am as well. we're lucky, tomorrow is a Friday 5th august. we were on Friday morning 9 on the parking lot. the restaurant seemed empty and I wondered if my infos were wrong. while waiting in the car, a pickup truck came and parked a short distance from us. At least we are not the only ones who expect to open 9 o'clock. we finally saw lighter in the restaurant, so we approached the door. kitchen staff let us in and inform us that they open in 10 minutes. it was good with us. we had our choice of table in diner style inside as we waited. we decided to sit in one of the middle cabins instead of the 4 sitting through the glass walls or the picnic tables outside. server came and gave us the laminated menus. after a short perusal we ordered cheesy mushroom omelette $13,) vegetarian omelette $12) and eier benedict flamentine $14) and also asked for some water. server brought serviettes and bestow, then with jars of ice water and even available disposable drivers strohroh. our breakfast came in 10 minutes. looks really appetizing. everything was perfectly cooked. to house fries with juicy tweepers were super tasty. it was the most tasty breakfast we had during our entire road trip. the portions were decent and filled us exactly right. there was even a piece of melone for dessert. server was great. he checked us a few times, refilled our goggles without telling them and never sneaking at the table. he was also friendly with a real smile on his face. our first time here, but we were made to feel regular."

"There was an actual hornet crawling on the donuts inside the display window. When I mentioned it to the counter girl she just said 'ahuh '.The bathroom had 2 toilets, only one was in order, and I 've peed in cleaner restrooms at gas stations.YUK..."

"Feels like it should be a bit bigger given the volume of people going through while we were there. Good spot to grab a coffee while waiting at the Tesla Supercharger. Wish the painted lines in the parking lot supported a walking path between buildings."
