"Group of four just taking in the Puerto Vallarta vibe and found El Sofa somewhat by accident. WOW!! First time just for a coffee break and found a real gem of an extremely relaxed and pleasant place. Result - for the rest of our short time in Puerto Vallarta went back every day. They even had a go at unscrambling the two different southern hemisphere accents."

"During our stay in PV we often went to this buffet. It was such a big step change of Mexican on the Malecon. The staff was so kind and eager to get us everything we needed. Servings are big and definitely a great...for the price. We thought every duck we tried was spectacular. We miss buffet! I wish we could go to a place like home."

"We wanted to find a new breakfast spot in PV's Old Town so we wandered a bit off the beaten path to this neighborhood gem. I really like the creative dishes on the menu - not just bacon and eggs. I had a bagel with prosciutto, pesto, tomatoes and mozzarella cheese - it was delicious! Coffee and fresh-squeezed juice were also good. Very nice atmosphere and the owner is super nice and speaks perfect English."

"Amazing! This restaurant has a super romantic vibe from the moment you walk in, we sat on the beach and the views were beautiful. The food was PHENOMENAL. We ordered the coconut shrimp app, lobster tail and the beef medallions. Everything was delicious, the meal...was perfect from start to finish. I will absolutely be retuning before heading back home. Highly recommend."

"What a pleasure to return to this charming Bistro which has been consistently good for many years. Under the twinkling lights of the peaceful garden with lovely French and timeless American classic music wafting from inside it’s an oasis. We enjoyed two classics, escargots and soupe à l’oignon gratiné. Both were excellent as was the cheerful service of our server Carla. Can’t wait for November to return with friends."

"Gorgeous restaurant and gorgeous food. We stopped by for breakfast and had a delicious meal. My chilaquiles were outstanding and the orange juice was also tasty. My parents loved their poblano pepper omelet and ham omelet. Charming place and we look forward to returning."
