"My husband and I stopped at the Berggasthof Gerstreit for lunch on our way to our next hotel. You reach it via a one-lane road. You will probably meet cars coming in the other direction, and one of you will have to get over a...bit to let the other one by. You park in quite a large parking lot below the Berggasthof Gerstreit. It's quite a steep walk from the parking lot to the restaurant. Those with mobility problems should not attempt it. We saw a delivery truck take a road from the parking lot to the restaurant. Someone could drive you up that road to the inn and let you off. The Berggasthof has a lot of tables outside overlooking the green valley below. It's a gorgeous view. Service was prompt and friendly. We were given English menus, which was a great help. I had the bacon/cheese sandwidh and my husband had the cold meat plate. Prices were very reasonable. There are also a lot of tables indoors; but no one was indoors when we were there. Highly recommended on a beautiful day. The Soleteilungsweg trail starts at this Berggasthof. It makes for a lovely walk."

"Das Café Niedermayer ist Dorfbäckerei, Café und Verkaufsraum für einheimische kulinarische Produkte, mitten im kleinen Ort Ramsau im Berchtesgadener Land.Nicht nur der Kaffee (mit heimischer Bio-Milch zubereitet!) schmeckt hier richtig gut, sondern auch alles andere - ich habe mich in meinen drei Wochen Urlaub durch das gesamte Sortiment gearbeitet! Große, saftige Obststreußelkuchen, herzhafte "Kaspflanzerl", schmackhafte Brote aus natürlichen Zutaten, und auch die hier verkauften Milchprodukte, heimischer Honig, selbstgemachte Nudeln und Pralinen sind durchweg sehr empfehlenswert und eignen sich auch prima als Mitbringsel für daheim.Dazu kommen überdurchschnittlich freundliche Mitarbeiter - hier gibt es nichts zu meckern, bayrische Gastfreundschaft at its best!Tip: Das Café öffnet schon um 6:00 Uhr - schnelle einen Kaffee und ein frisch belegtes Brötchen auf die Faust, und schon ist man gewappnet für die Tages-Bergtour!"
