"Burnham was crowded with tourists, but this lovely little cafe down the quiet end of the High Street was perfect for a relaxed lunch. We had delicious paninis, followed by a yummy pecan slice. We enjoyed it so much we lingered for more drinks after...eating. It's hidden away in the quiet end of town but is well worth a visit!"

"Thus is a charity run cafe and may well be closing soon, I for one will try everything to help to save it as it's a hub of our village where a lot of people meet......especially the elderly which is so important for them. If you are ever in cheddar please take a little time to have a cuppa or lunch in it, the food is very good and it's very friendly and also friendly to dogs."

"We met a friend here for lunch and having never been here before didn’t know what to expect. The bar area and garden room was quite pleasant with a nice log fire burning in the main bar area. The food menu was quite extensive and...what we ordered was very tasty and well presented. The steak and kidney pie was one of the best I’d had in a pub and presented like no other I had seen before. My wife and our friend had fish which they enjoyed very much. If I was to be critical then I would say the food could be served hotter or on hot plates but that is being a little picky. It was unfortunate that there was no one else in the pub whilst we were there so there was no ambiance. However we will definitely return but probably not until the new year."

"Great local village pub in the heart of the cheddar gorge. Really friendly welcoming staff behind the bar. The young lady behind the bar was great and made an effort to also shout thank you and goodbye as we left. Food was really nice, good...portion size. Great cheese and biscuits on the desert menu. Booking is advised. Will definitely return."
