"This review is good for the new redline miyabi the atmosphere is good. it has been converted and has a sports bar theme with lots of tw and music. the staff/girl seemed very friendly. I hope they develop thick skin with all the oilfield traffic that comes, eating that I try to be honest with 0 hard feelings. his visually appealing, but is very strongly spiced and bland. my wife and I have 2 completely different dishes and we had the same comments. I hope that management can continue to grow this business. we need more like it in carlsbad."

"The food was pretty decent, but the customer service experience was not up to par at all, when one of the waitresses was so drunk taking our order, she ask can she sit down and than proceed to sit down.. I?ve never experienced that EVER at a restaurant. than the waitresses started arguing with each other. It was just really unprofessional and it took forever to get a glass of water."

"I really hoped this would be my new go-to sushi spot, but they need some big help on service. Our waitress was not very attentive and my request for NO onions on my daughter?s chicken yakisoba somehow turned into ADD onions. She was not very happy. The sushi was average, and for a not-so-busy Sunday evening, the sushi came out very slowly. At least 20 minutes after placing our order. Upon our exit there was no goodbye or thank you. Times are tough on restaurants, but good service is key. Yamakari needs some work."

"We ordered on New Years Eve, and the wait was terrible for online take out with them being overwhelmed on orders. Despite that, the sushi is worth waiting for. The prices are great compared to other sushi restaurants, and none of the taste is compromised. Speciality rolls have such great flavoring, and regular sushi tasted amazingly fresh."

"It was my first time here yesterday and I truly enjoyed my experience with the food. We ordered 4 different kind of sushi rolls and it was really enjoyable. The portion were great for the two of us. However, I did ask for their specialty that is more on the spicy side and the server recommended Super Mario and the first bite, to me was disappointing because the lime was overpowering all the flavor. The rest of our sushi roll was a hit. I ordered a 3 item combo as well and it was perfect portion. I had the salmon teriyaki, Chicken Katsu and Tempura. It was packed on a friday night so it was quite busy. My only recommendation is do not be seated in table number 1 as it is very close to the entrance door. The banging of the door with people coming in and out was annoying and very distracting to people having a peaceful meal but overall, it was a great experience. I love the food here."
