"We had the most wonderful dinner at this restaurant and met the most gracious host! The waiter was attentive and entertaining. We had the loveliest kangaroo steak ever tasted and oysters. Dessert were amazing - everyone enjoyed their meal immensely and I have to say it is one of the best restaurants we visited. Stayed at the Marriott and had tried their restaurants, in our opinion Seascape worth a try!"

"My partner and I came here one night as the place seemed kind of full with very few seats left so we thought the food must taste good, we approached the waiter and asked for a table for 2 and he said there is about a 30 minute wait for food as they are busy and we said that was fine as 30 minutes isn’t too long, once we agreed the waiter corrected himself and said maybe not 30 more like 40 – 50 minutes, so we said that was rather long so probably not and left. A couple nights later we returned again and came early around 6pm to make sure there wouldn’t be a long wait again, there were only 2 other tables so we thought perfect. We took a seat inside near the left window and were brought out our menus and table water. We noticed they had a specials board so thought we’d try something on there. When ordering we were told that the oyster shots we had ordered from the specials board was sold out for the day, so that was a little disappointing, perhaps they could’ve removed anything that wasn’t available from their specials board. We ordered pickles which came out first and to our surprise the taste was really unpleasant, we were hoping for something a little tangy and spicy similar to kimchi but were given something that smelt like drain water and tasted worse so we left the pickles untouched for the rest of the evening.. Next the edamame were brought out my partner enjoyed these very much. Our salmon sashimi slices were very tasty and fresh. Lastly our vegetable tempura which was nice but dipping sauce tasted watered down and rather bland so we kept soaking the entire tempura piece under the dipping sauce. All in all it was a great find, we would definitely consider returning however will remember not to order the pickles ever again."

"We went there because of the excellent reviews, but what a disappointment! The food is so average and bit pricy consider the quality. Ordered the sashimi plate, nothing special, common fish with thin cut, just like the slice you can get from any sushi train place. The rest are pretty ordinary as well, no wow factor as others describe. Probably won't go back again.The service is good, but I am more into food, that's why it's a fail for me."

"We had dinner here, for less than $50 we had entrees, main, and deserts Location is great (straight across the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre i believe the best pools in Australia, prepared for next Commonwealth games 2018), the staff was friendly, the food was fresh...and very nice presented... It was so satisfying experience that after few days we went there again for our next visit, only to find out it was not open on Monday night. However we managed to visit again the next day, and still had the same nice experience; very good quality food and excellent service. If you want to give it a try, here's the opening hours: Monday 11:30~14:30 Tuesday 11:30~14:30 17:30~20:30 Wednesday 11:30~14:30 17:30~20:30 Thursday 11:30~14:30 17:30~20:30 Friday 11:30~14:30 17:30~20:30 Saturday: 17:30~20:30 Sunday: Closed PS. as Japas (Japanese Tapas) they only have sake, BYO for wine."
