"What a lovely place to eat at! The food and the atmosphere at the Ettrick is really brilliant. The staff made our evening particularly special as they were so warm, friendly and made us feel genuinely welcome. The waitress who served us in particular was just so nice and made us feel like nothing was a bother at all. When we arrived we were seated straight away in a cosy wee corner, the atmosphere felt so cool and relaxed. For those who haven’t been, the pub is split into a bar and a lounge through the wall serving food. They offer a full Indian menu as well as a menu of European and pub classics. My partner and I both ordered off the Indian menu and were very happy with our meal, everything arrived quickly despite it being a busy Friday night in the restaurant. I particularly loved my cauliflower pakora that our waitress had recommended, it was absolutely delicious! Portion size was also very generous. Thank you for a lovely dinner, it’s been a highlight in our annual leave week and we can’t wait to come back soon :"
