"The first time we went, it was ok at best with good service. This time we came with a game plan to focus on the appies and sides (that had been good the first time) and less on the pasta. However, everything was awesome, including the pasta. We had the creamy chicken campanelle and the chorizo tomato rigatoni. Really happy. Service still very good! Hopefully our first visit was a one off, and it'll be this good every time!"

"So sad to find that Catalans is about to close in a few days-_Christmas Buffet was wonderful and we would have loved to return for dinner in a week or two. I do hope the new iteration preserves the perfect view of the Legislatve Buildings!"

Told by one waitress to pick a table then told by another we would have to wait for a table to clear....rather than joining other open tables togetherShowed no willingness to be flexible and just shrugged shouldersSo we went elsewhere - to Cafe Mexico round the corner which was excellent - so would suggest you go directly there"

"I always thought of Nautical Nellie?s as a tourist trap but after going here for their new brunch launch, I have changed my mind. The food was actually really well prepared, the flavours were balanced, the dishes were different and interesting and theowner and chef truly are trying to show Victoria how much they care. Prices were reasonable and in some cases lower thancomparable restaurants and cocktails and non-alcoholic choices were also well made. I?ll be back for brunch again for sure."

"We have been customers since it opened, but since the owners have not been in charge of customer service, rudeness has crept in- for instance, on our last visit a staff member openly complained about having to open the chiller to sell us some cake near the close of business! Unbelievable attitude! Then we were charged $5 for a piece of cake! there is no price list for cake or baked goods which is unacceptable. Very disappointing!"

"This place has set a high bar for all future birthday cakes! I loved..LOVED...my Chocolate Symphony cake. It was light, smooth and wonderfully chocolatey! Is that a word...chocolatey? This cake was it. The staff are lovely. The prices are on the mark. The treats are out of this world! I highly, highly recommend you contact these fine folk for your next event (big or small). They will impress you. I promise. PS. They have gluten free options too!"
