"I had the Mediterranean omelet with potatoes and toast. It was good but $20 plus for breakfast with 18% gratuity added automatically seems a little high. Great service."

"Copeland's specializes in New Orleans cuisine. R and I came here on two consecutive days to enjoy Copeland's experiences. Unfortunately, overall consistency between the two days, which is what I expected, wasn't there. Free parking is available in the small parking lot in front of the restaurant, and in the large parking garage nearby that is shared by businesses in and around Parkway Pointe. Our first visit, during dinner time, was on a Friday evening. The service was just OK. Our server seemed to periodically forget that we were there. The food was great, though. We both had red beans and rice and Andouille sausage. The meal was deliciously filling. I noticed that there were a lot of chaining dishes and food stations set up throughout the restaurant, and I asked one of the servers if there was an event going on. I was told that they were preparing for the brunch buffets that they were having this weekend. I loved the food so much that I already planned to come back the next day (Saturday). Saturday's brunch buffet started at 11 am, the same time the restaurant opened. We got there, without reservations, a few minutes after 11 am, and there was a long line out the door, but the hostess was pretty quick at taking customers to tables throughout the big restaurant. R and I were seated right next to the prime rib and raw oyster stations, which is right where we wanted to be. My focus was on the prime rib, the main reason why we came here to get some great tasting medium rare prime rib. Unfortunately, the prime rib was a big fail. All they had the entire time we were there was well done. The only reason why I even got any prime rib was because I had requested medium rare from the employee at the prime rib carving station, and she cut off two slices of what looked like medium rare on my plate. After taking a couple of steps away from the station, I realized that the heating lamps above the prime rib made the meat look reddish, so I was fooled. You would think that, since this was the only substantial meat available (beside chicken tenders, slices of sausage and bacon), Copeland's would have all doneness of prime rib available. From where I sat, I could see customer after customer's faces get all scrunched up, disappointed that they couldn't get anything other than well done. R loved the raw oysters, since he was able to choose which half shelled oysters he wanted. They also had peel and eat shrimp, but I didn't want to work for my food. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to shellfish, so I didn't eat any. During the early hours of the buffet, a long line was pretty constant for about an hour for the omelet station, which obviously took some time for an employee to cook omelets on demand. I just got bacon from that area, and the bacon was pretty standard tasting. Other things that I ate were cheesy grits (very good), spinach and artichoke dip (although there wasn't anything to dip in it by the time I got to it) which was very delicious), red beans and rice, sliced Andouille sausage (all of that was very good), chicken tenders that were flavored with some type of tabasco sauce (meh), jambalaya pasta (yuck), fresh fruit (very refreshing) and raspberry (I think) cobbler (meh). There were many other items, but much of it were fried, and I didn't quite feel like eating fried foods. I was disappointed with the amount of available foods that were at least halfway healthy. The service from the server was great, as he periodically came by to check on us to see if we needed any refills or anything else. Apparently, if you don't get in soon after the brunch buffet starts, you may have to wait for about 90 minutes to be seated. I suggest showing up at about 1 pm for the brunch buffet, which ends at 3 pm. Overall, for me at least, I'd rather come here for a regular dinner, and skip the brunch buffet altogether. The brunch buffet is currently priced at $32.99 for adults, and I think that's too high for what is available: too many fried foods choices, prime rib that was pr"
