"Read about this hidden gem on Facebook and we decided to give it a go ... Buffet on Sunday runs from 11-2 ... Being that it was 1pm when we went, we had some concerns about freshness .... We need not have worried ... rare piece of roast beef was carved for us .... This accompanied with Yorkshire pudding and vegetables.... Eggs made to order are part of the buffet including eggs benny with homemade hollandaise .... There was a good selection of salads including fruit, french toast pancakes, bacon, sausage.... The desserts at the bar are all made from scratch and delicious .... You can order from the menu if the buffet isn't your thing ... Good value great food, friendly service... What more can you ask for ..."

"Ate here 3 times during business trips to Port Alberni in January 2016 only for convenience because it was the restaurant in my hotel. Food was okay but expected more for the prices. $10 for 3 pancakes only for breakfast. If I wanted a side of bacon or ham that would be an extra $5! $17 for seafood pasta that was made with frozen seafood. Why no fresh seafood? This is a port town so one would think fresh seafood would be the norm!! $20 for a steak that tasted 'off'. I am not one normally to complain. I ate all my meals but not without negative thoughts while doing so. As such, I will not eat here again. There are many other better options in town."
