"Went out with colleagues after long grueling day. 5 of us all ordered something different and everyone's meals looked so good. Service was prompt even though the place was hopping. I had the ginger teriyaki bowl with chicken and it was very tasty and a good portion. The bill came and said this was place was a "test kitchen" which means some items on the menu were there for testing. Not sure if my ginger teriyaki was a test plate, but it was very good. Hope I see it on the menu when I'm back home out east."

"Death for Breakfast. I can't express how poorly my friends and I were treated at this excuse of an establishment. We had sat down at a table and weren't seen for at least five minutes. Once our drink order was taken it took another five minutes for it to arrive. I ordered an ice coffee and i got hot coffee... I had to ask for a glass of ice... twice. If you like skim milk, don't bother asking, they don't carry it.<br/>Act of this terrible visit <br/>My friend ordered a Belgian waffle with a side of bacon. My other friend ordered what was called a cold platter. Said platter included what was supposed to be cole slaw, chicken salad, and potato salad. Finally I ordered two eggs over medium, three strips of bacon, hash browns and two pieces of toast. The result:<br A cold waffle where when butter is placed, it doesn't melt<br The saddest pieces of bacon that I've ever been served<br Scoops of slaw, chicken salad, and potato salad that looked so unappetizing that one could tell it came from a grocery store<br Eggs that were obviously over easy to an untrained eye, followed by four pieces of cold toast<br br/>The next two events were the highlight of our GOD AWFUL dining experience;<br/>My friend asked our waitress if he could have his waffle heated up because of the cold to touch excuse for food that he was served. The waitress didn't make a single effort to fix the situation and in fact was relieved to not have to put forth any effort to fix the situation. <br/>Lastly the grand finally, while waiting at the register to pay for substandard cuisine, my friend asked the lady that was ringing up our meal how the chicken salad was prepared; a common type of question at a restaurant. Her response was, Baby I don't have a clue. You gotta ask the cooks but don't no one have time to answer your questions Really? I mean really?<br br/>After being a server for four years I have never seen such awful service in that time or for that matter my life. Frankly I wonder how there have been any good reviews of this venue. I hope they change soon for other patrons sake because I know I will never be setting foot in there ever again."

"Really amazing food. I got the creole Benedict thing with shrimp and ham over biscuits. Kids got a ridiculously good challa French toast. Subs are about 12"+ long and looked incredible. Will definitely be back. It's a tiny place, but absolutely worth the wait. <br>"

"Great little restaurant. I love this place. the service is great. my friend got a martini while we thought he was too happy hour, but it wasn't. the server gave us to a discount anyway apologise for the mix. eating is fantastic. our group had the chicken pot pee, pasta jambalaya, and spinat lasagna- all were deliciously portioned and inexpensive. I wish I had been there for her fabulous brunch."

"I consider myself a self-respecting Richmonder. However, I have something to confess to you, readers. I can count the number of times that I've been to Star-lite on one hand. I've been there for drinks and late night shenanigans maybe three times. I've certainly never eaten here."

"I really was not expecting their food items to be as great tasting as I thought. The very best thing I like that they use dehydrated garlic not that garlic powder stuff. Garlic powder is really thick, and makes food taste processed. I really enjoyed the meaty ribs, the baked beans were so delicious, and the peach cobbler was so perfectly prepared without all that sweetness to it. Best place to eat! You can sign up for rewards too!"
