"I like this pub. It has character and the locals, bar staff land lord/lady are friendly enough however you will end up chatting endless nonsense in a nice way and one beer will lead to another quite happily!!"

"First night the food was sublime, could not fault a thing. Second night it was so bad I sent it back; watery, plain, bland, lack of seasoning- very disappointing. I also wouldn't have paid for the breakfast if it was not included in the room...rate."

"We were looking for somewhere nice to stop for lunch whilst on the way to Ilminster and found The Almshouse Tea Shop on Google. Highly recommended, I phoned to see if we needed to book a table, as we were only 20 minutes away, and the lady who picked up the phone (the owner? was super friendly helpful. When we arrived we found a table outside (we were told there was no need to book this time and as the tea shop is set in the historical market square, the views of the buildings surrounding us were beautiful. I went inside and ordered a sausage roll salad and also a cheese red onion scone, plus a some cakes. Everything was absolutely delicious! The lady who brought our food out was the same lady I spoke to on the phone and again, she was super helpful. She told us about the Axbridge Heritage Trail which we will definitely try next time. Would strongly recommend The Almshouse Tea Shop and intend to visit again upon our return journey in a few days!"

"They only accept cash - so they don't forget there is a cash machine right next to the shop- but at this time it was out of order. that was delicious. one of the best singapur rice noodles ever. the rice noodles were soft and tasty. suppe was spicy as desired. a short place to taste Chinese food."

"As a local every Thursday we visit our local coffee shops for cake and coffee. We have not been in coffee creme for a year so decided to return. I arrived to find all the tables were clean and very tidy, seating outside was very busy. The menu looks great and is affordable for families, The selection of cakes was 4 sponges on offer. Both the girls serving were very polite and respectful, we wanted non-dairy milk which they were able to provide, (some places we have visited in 2023 don't know what oat mom is . Table service was offered and our coffee and cakes turned up within 5 min, a good portion of cake for 1 adult and the flavour of both sponges were nice, presentation was 10 out of 10. Coffee with Oak milk was nice not too strong and came hot which is better than some places that serve Luke warm coffee. Sadly Oak milk does not always forth but that's nothing to complain about. Music low enough to hear but conversation able to heard. Many of us don't have spare cash so it nice to find a reasonable restaurant that prices are not over the moon. Highly recommended in you in Bridgwater and want a quite stress free environment for something to eat and drink Just to add sometimes the smell off kitchen can be smelt but not enough to be off putting, sat at the front we could smell cigarettes and vap coming in through the front door, but it was not enough on our visit to change my review. No WiFi on offer, but this does not mean it's not available upon request, and please could napkins be given with the cakes after hands get sticky."

"We were just over and wondered if they were for a gluten free diet and were very surprised that they did woo hoo! they explained how everything would be boiled to stop cross-contamination and so we have a chance. portion sizes were huge, as I had chicken fillet burger with fries and tasty on the part, while my man, the registered coeliac, gammon, ei, poacks with I had a big tee and my man had a tee for two, but for only him ha ha ha (he likes his tee). Died of the excellent and funny jodies, who always tried to check on our progress by getting through the amount of food ha!!! all round excellent performance of all the team there ac da iawn i bawb yna as we say in wales."
