"It is with regret to write something negative, as we normally don’t do so... Since its opening, we’ve frequented Uncle 7, having dinners, lunches and take-outs. Sadly, some time as of around autumn 2019, we felt that the dishes we normally order have started to change, eg dim sum doughs seemed much thicker and had less content, Szechuan taste didn’t have the usual kick and meat was very sparse, pepper shrimp was too oily and had less pieces or were smaller shrimp sizes, etc. — mind you, we’re NOT talking about what is served during lunch buffets, but rather from their à la carte menu. Despite all that, we continued to eat there a couple more times, hoping that they get better again, but unfortunately, it seemed to only get worse. On our last visit, the Szechuan soup and two other meat dishes (duck and beef) contained quite a bit of full peppercorns — these dishes never had these before and biting into them just made the dishes worse. The soup even had some meat we couldn’t figure out. The Singapore noodles were bland (not even a slight curry taste) and hardly contained any shrimp/chicken. All these dishes were oilier than usual. The only dish we could enjoy was the Sweet and Sour Chicken. The owners and staff are nevertheless always friendly and welcoming. It’s just a pity the kitchen is no longer our cup of tea."

"Pretty good Cantonese* food.. when you consider you are in Switzerland. My meal looked a bit like chicken noodles soup but the spices were good and I enjoyed it."

"I came here several times, dinner and lunch time pre covid. What I experienced today was a different restaurant altogether apart from name and location. The menu had shrunk to some uninspiring standard menu, greasy and torn and overpriced. From dozens of exciting and tasty dumplings to choose from, the menu was down to a few. Boa bun with beef was ok but the rest was yawn boring, without taste and too clearly not freshly made. Service had taken a disturbing dive and was disinterested, but not outright rude. This is not the Hongxi that received accolades for excellent, authentic dumplings. Not worth the money and no pleasure at all, certainly not considering the stetchy neighbourhood. I will avoid in the future."

"Tourists be warned! A ridiculous experience at this restaurant which we never got to experience. 4 of us were from Qatar and UAE and fully vaccinated. When we presented our UAE /Qatar certificate of vaccination it was not good enough proof for the restaurant. It was OK for immigration to enter the country but not good enough for Nooch. We went to several other restaurants in the area which were happy to accept us as non-EU vaccinated tourists !"
