"This is my favorite Thai place in Portland! The restaurant is on the second floor in an old Victorian style house. It seems a bit odd as it sets back from the street and requires climbing a short flight of stairs to get to the front door. The first time I went there, I didn't know what to expect when we got inside. I was pleasantly surprised. The dining areas are cozy and clean and the floors sometimes creak underfoot. The walls are colorful and there is always some soft music playing in the background. If you hit this place during the school year and over the lunch year you'll find yourself surrounded by PSU students. You see, not only is the food superb, it is also very affordable! I of course, love the green curry, but I'm the type who always gets the same thing. I've always gotten great food and excellent service here. I go back every chance I get!"

"Absolutely delicious. I had the best tamhai of my life from this place. the fresh rolls are my friends favorites, they are always fresh and the peanut sauce is amazing. also the crispy rolling are great. everything was a hit so far and the personal is really nice!"

"Departure was a fantastic experience. the food was from the hook delicious, and the drink selection is very nice too. they can order ala carte, or a 3 or 4 course tasting meals, dessert is an additional supplement. either as they decide to go, they will have amazing options and chosing will not be easy. the courses are just a bit bigger, then a tapas (appeared), but are quite sufficient and satisfying. the food is prepared and shed and served with the highest thought and care. departure is an upscale but casual restaurant with an amazing view. a reservation is advisable as they are very popular and good reason. I can't get the amazing service staff who didn't even miss the smallest detail by insuring their experience was second to none. I would encourage them to really focus on the whole experience, because it never just about a thing, it's the whole package. as I always want to say, they are thinking of being mindful, being happy and always being the best."

"My partner and I have gone here once before and had good service and food. We went again just a few days ago and I had a giant dead moth in my broccoli, which I totally understand there are bugs in broccoli and it’s not always easy for the kitchen staff to see or get out. When I told the waitress she said “okay, I’m sorry” and went and showed the people in the kitchen and everyone just laughed. It really grossed me out and their response was very unprofessional."

"I would probably give this 2.5, but it’s leaning on the worse end. Very over priced. $30 for 1 entree and 1 appetizer. No sides. The broccoli was mushy, the carrots were almost soggy. Everything had a slightly oily and slime feel/ taste to it. The pad see ew was pretty bland. Not terrible, but nothing great. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice visually and clean. The staff was friendly. My wife and I love Thai food, however and this was the in the bottom 2 places out of around 10 that we have tried in SE Portland. The food is just really not good and I was shocked that it was rated 4.6 stars. It’s barely 3 if I am being generous. I rarely write bad reviews but I just don’t want others going in expecting something clean and tasty and being disappointed like we were."
