"Beautiful ambience. We loved the garden area. It’s got lots of fans which makes you feel cool even on a hot day. Service was great and staff were very attentive. Food was very tasty and there are lots of vegetarian options available. It’s recommended."

"My husband and I recently dined at Thai Rose, having visited the establishment several times before. Fairly centrally located, and very close to the Gabba, it offers delicious food in a pleasant environment (the balcony area of the restaurant). We shared a mixed entrée, which I followed with the Green Chicken Curry. The curry was fresh and flavoursome, however a little too spicy for my mild taste buds! Still delicious all the same. My husband found his prawn-based main course delicious. The balcony area of the restaurant is really pleasant (best to secure the balcony that is NOT adjacent to Ipswich Road because of the road noise). The service is good. My only criticism is the wine/s on offer. A licensed restaurant, they have a limited wine selection that wouldn’t suit someone who appreciates a nice wine. At least BYO is an option. All in all, a good choice for a Thai meal out."

"Maybe owing to the Greek festival, restaurants in this area seemed quiet down. We were the only customers dining in from pm to pm. The Thai styled chicken wings, for an entree, tasted nice but a bit too dry. Lad na (rice noodle with pork and gravy) was very yummy and tasted just like when we ate one in Thailand. But we didn’t quite enjoy the stir fry chicken with cashew nut because of a strong smell of a chilli/shrimp paste. This place lacked a comfy feel; more like for takeaway or quick meals. Once we left the restaurant was packed up and closed."

"Don't order by phone, or be really specific. <br>
Wanted the lunch deal (~$10), to be charged full price ($15.90) and told that pad thai isn't a lunch deal. Place was empty (1 person eating, no takeaway waiting, one person working). Seems pretty strange to not include pad Thai in a lunch deal, only rice, stir fry and curries... maybe if they did they'd have a few more customers..."

"We had eaten at this location previously when Thai Wi-Rat was located here. We enjoyed the food then so thought we'd come back.When we arrived we were surprised to see that it was called Kasalong Thai. We thought we'd give it a try and we're happy we did. The food was really nice, although the lunch size portions could have been a little bigger.They had a baby seat too which was handy.We'll be happy to come back."

"Samara Boman Sarah Danckert Cheryl Murphy<br/ <br/ Spring rolls for entree were over cooked. Rice paper duck rolls were very flavor some. <br/ Pad Thai was very tasty. Roast duck and tamarind sauce was well spiced but was delivered almost cold. Duck was quite chewy. Venue was suitable but nothing fancy. Service was friendly but tardy. Maybe just a tad above average experience."

"Fantastic restaurant! I worked for the chef many years ago so I know how much he cares about the food he creates. I don't live nearby anymore, but I always make a special trip for my birthday every year. The chicken Vindaloo is my favourite and he can make it very spicy on request"
